Bitcoin and Crypto Thread

Tether is functioning as Bitcoin's own Federal Reserve...
The creature of Jekyll Island redux. BTC has always stunk to high heaven. It's a video game slot machine with multiple red flags. Not to mention, like all gambling, it's highly addictive and thus breeds passionate zealots (as demonstrated by people who bought at $400 and refuse to sell at 75K).

This entire thread has devolved into one big humble brag circle jerk disguised as "helping others."

Great, you're smart and everyone else is dumb because you have temporarily found a way to make a bunch of money without having to do any manual labor... Welcome to the continued machinations of anti-Christ world jewry.

I like Bitcoin also but I am curious do you have a plan B in the case that you are wrong about Bitcoin?
No. In my mind there is no alternative. The world is being repriced in bitcoin. I know that sounds ludicrous to most people.

Diversifying into stocks, most of which are entirely dependent on cheap fiat money - might keep up with inflation. But the risk is also very high.

Bitcoin has proven itself less risky for the return it delivers than every other asset. Why would I own something with more risk, that at best is just holding its value? If something is only holding its value I expect the risk to be zero.

That will be bitcoin in 50 years. Holding its value (gradually appreciating with human productivity gains) with zero risk.

If there is a problem with bitcoin in the future, I’ll have to decide what to do. Can it be patched/forked/etc.
it’s not going to zero overnight; contrary to everyone who wishes it would, so that they could be “right” or pat themselves on the back for not falling for the “scam”!

Even if you didn’t believe it will last the next 1,000 years, don’t you want to ride the fastest horse, till it dies?

Bitcoin is addictive because it sucks you down a bottomless rabbit hole of study. It literally changes who you are and how you think.

No one that understands bitcoin is going to buy fiat with it. Just as you aren’t buying ARS with your dollars.

I’m not trying to prove that I’m smarter or gloat - I was you only 4 years ago. I misunderstood money, banking, and bitcoin for the first 11 years of its existence. Now that I have put in the mental work to understand, I want to scream from the rooftops because it is so clear, and so obvious to me now. Unfortunately there are no shortcuts. No matter how many eloquent metaphors i use or paragraphs I write, each person must find their own path to bitcoin. All I can say is it will be the best return on your time of any mental exercise you’ve ever done.

Humility is what allowed me to see bitcoin. Allowing myself to accept that I was wrong, about many many things, is the only way I could start down the bitcoin rabbit hole.

We aren’t “making money from nothing.” I did the labor already - 25 years of it. I also did the labor of reading, and listening, and writing too. 1000 hours at least. Just because Bitcoin is $10 or $10,000, doesn’t mean I took value from someone else…fiat money is just less capable of buying bitcoin (and everything else).

I am laboring and have already labored; I just figured out a way to stop the central bank theft that was killing my soul. It is the root of clown world, and black pill nihilism, and rot of our civilization. We’ve had a century of death, stagnation, and darkness. If Bitcoin disappeared - I do think civilization would descend further into a dark age.

Not much of a rebuttal to my argument, but then again I don't blame you, since the point is indisputable even for Bitcoin maxis.
I've written numerous rebuttals to your stale arguments, and I'm still standing, and BTC is going stronger than ever, more adopted than ever, literally at the sovereign nation level at this point. I'm being nice to you, to be honest - you don't really deserve it since you have been proven wrong and lack the humility chance talks about later.

You too can put in the work and understand this. Or you can just keep complaining and getting poorer, as BTC reprices everything.

With this statement, and I've said it before, it proves that every sentiment by the negative nancy crowd to not only be dumb, but impractical. Meaning there is no reason for them not to consider it - yet they still do it like a rebellious, stubborn spirit.

When you know it, and you know why people don't see it, it's hard to tell people - just like the red pill. "How I wanted to gather you like a hen under my wings ... but you were not willing!"

I might retire next year due to the fact that I had enough humility to say, the doomsayers are wrong, the game is X, the strategy needs to change. And I did it. Yes, I said my thesis was wrong. I changed at the beginning of the year. And I profited because I'm actually flexible. It's an interesting thing to see people claim you are something you've literally proven to not be the case.

Think of it! We expose the real debasement, exit that game, encourage others to leave the real usury system, and they claim we are the demons and abusers! More biblical references there.

And even so, we ask them to reconsider! And they continue to call us names!

Assuredly I tell you, they, and we, have our reward.

The problem for them is that our reward is actually a good one.

A couple things. Tether is trash and has been forever. Usdc is ok as it’s not printed out of nothing.

Funny story. A couple days ago I was buying the shit coin pnut, based on the squirrel Pnut that was euthanized by the nys parks department.

Some of my limit orders were getting filled, some weren’t

I noticed that it suddenly skyrocketed, in a very short amount of time. It had a Binance listing announced on twitter and whales were loading up.

Why can’t all my coins do this?

I wouldn’t buy now it’s already pumped. Fred the raccoon has a coin. It’s still pretty small but not sure if it will take off or get listings or whatnot

Hopefully it works out for you and you don't go homeless. A HELOC to buy BTC? Seriously?
I don't understand this criticism -- it's been among the best-performing assets for the last several years and the fundamentals only get better and better by the day.

Hopefully it works out for you and you don't go broke while inflation crushes you. You didn't get more BTC while it was cheap? Seriously?

Its still not too late. I think whoever buys Bitcoin today will be showing good gains in 6 - 9 months.

A couple days ago I mentioned pnut. Fred the raccoon was pnuts buddy and got euthanized with him. I put a couple hundred bucks into Fred’s coin yesterday and I wake up it’s already over $1000. Pnut is on Binance, Fred will likely join him, I’m guessing the two of them will be a big narrative in this bull run

Both of them just exploded overnight

I'm not sure you understand what a HELOC is. Anyways, no I didn't buy BTC when it was "cheap". A valueless asset can never be cheap.

Bitcoin might have been the tool for some financial stability but the moral of the story is family got her there.
Not really. BTC did. The relative was just smart enough to see it for her.
A valueless asset can never be cheap.
Do you put no value on retiring?

ace ventura deal with it GIF

How have all the other crypto currencies performed during this election time? Would be nice to see them all compared on a graph.

Everything started pumping on November 5. But for now people are focused on meme coins . Things like alph and mintlayer are still at bear market levels and are relatively safe buys

I try to watch this once every few months.

Interview from 2 years ago with the dogecoin millionaire . He kept saying when side hits $1 then he will sell. The front runners ran.

No idea if he is still hodling or not
