As I already said earlier in this thread, most people in this world are retarded twats and see Bitcoin as a forex pump and dump now. Monero's price in most of the fiat is stable and usable. XMR-BTC pair is currently out of whack because Bitcoin in its pumping stage right now.Any day now….right?

Bloody hell The minx is a bit of a butterface, but still an upgrade for this bloke.
The tradeoffs of decentralization, security, and simplicity (or lack thereof).
Why Monero is losing.

No it's not losing, Monero's chain is not bloated up due to ring signature, and also ring signatures are going to be replaced in the next hard fork with full-chain membership proof anyways. It's big because it's actively used right now with active transactions and storage is not a problem with terabytes of storage devices available for cheap.
Does this Matthew serious think ASICs are a good way to preserve the mining hashrate??? Bitcoin has three big mining pools controlling most of the hashrate. Two within one country (USA). The US federal government could just raid them and install malicious versions to perform 51% attacks to block whatever transaction they want. Normal Bitcoin folks can't easily stop them without miraculously acquiring more powerful ASICs.

While Monero admittedly has this vulnerability as well right now, it can be easily mitigated because any CPU (PC, laptop, smartphone, tablet) can mine it. We also have a decentralized mining pool recently available to prevent 51% attacks called p2pool. It's now within the Top 5 Hashrate contributors.

Now to clarify my thoughts on BTC, I don't hate it and like what it represented back in its early years (not really an OG Bitcoin bloke, but close enough), but there's now clearly better technology and Bitcoin has way too many flaws that no one wants to fix.
My oldest kid (12) yesterday was telling us at dinner. A friend of him also 12 year old had invested in bitcoin.
I’ll be honest here, I don’t know the first thing about crypto. A year or 2 ago a friend of mine talked me in to investing into XRP ripple so i did, just put some “skin in the game” so to say. Problem is, when do I cash in? Any advice guys?My current portfolio - hit a new all time high, mostly due to XRP. Also have 33 ERN and did have about 8200 DENT but i cannot access it, but it's so low now I might as well forget about it since DENT is worthless anyway.

No one does. Everyone thinks they do, but crypto is ultimately a meme/hype-based commodity that has no real value; it's value is based on influencers manipulating the market and "faith" in socioeconomic forces (like Trump being elected). Ultimately it's just about recognizing patterns and trends like anything else and recognizing it as a tool for manipulating wealth, nothing more. I do not believe anyone truly believes in the technology behind the various cryptocurrencies beyond a post-hoc rationalization/buyers remorse for whatever they're holding.I’ll be honest here, I don’t know the first thing about crypto.

TL: dR you should start taking profits now. Not necessarily all cause XRP can still go higher, but it is getting a bit too hot.
No worries Mr Mumbato, I’ll get straight on to it!GREETINGS to you Mr @Gazza from Nigeria, I am a crypto invester and have recieved your email from Chamber of Crypto Commerce. You need to transfer your crypto to a secure crypto account and slowly diversify your portfolio. Luckily I have such an account. Please reply and establish communication. Many thanks and Kind Regards, Mr Kiwi Johnathan Mumbato
I'm not offering any financial advice neither does he, but he's great at technical analysis and data, the data shows XRP is getting a bit too hot, so chances are this is a local top. It can go way higher, yes, but tread carefully cause there's shillers saying XRP is going to flip eth and bitcoin and that's just not going to happen. Dynamic DCA out is basically start taking profits slowly when it reaches certain levels. This strategy has proven successfully for me, I tried it with Avax last cycle and I even managed to sell at the top a quarter of my bag at the time.No one does. I'll consider what he's saying, but I do not trust a single crypto "advisor", I'd wager all the advice they give is based on how they want to manipulate the market for their own gains. But if he's saying sell now, that does give him some credibility and he doesn't seem to have a history of hype and BS, so maybe i should consider selling. I've been holding for over 3 years now and at this point if I net a mere $1000 profit I'm fine with it, I'm sick of this nonsense.
Has anyone looked into digital assets and inheritance? As in legal questions? The only reason this could be otherwise useful would be due to step up of basis. It's also curious if it were self custodied if an exchange might have a form that just states that transfer on death occurs, whether anyone can do anything about it or not.
This is the issue everyone has, since it defeats the purpose of self custody/decentralization.Include the keys to the storage in the will?
