They don't even have to offer $5m. I bet if they did that offer but $250k signup / $250k after 5 years they would meet their signup goals within a few weeks.

It really is amazing how quickly they destroyed our society. I was at a Thanksgiving dinner this weekend, and the elderly couple hosting had some framed art that Maxwell House Coffee put on their coffee tins in the late 1990s. It's Norman Rockwell tier stuff, and this was what the entire world was like for me all through high school:
I couldn't find an image of the entire art, but you get the idea. It's wholesome multigenerational happy white families celebrating together.
The advertisement art was so appealing and pleasant, that people collected and framed them on their walls.
Can you imagine anyone framing a mixed race couple with gay kid commercial from today?
But that's really how things were back then. Everyone had a 2 parent household, even the "weird kid" whose parents divorced, the mom remarried years ago and had a normal family, and if you were his friend, you would meet both his dads at one point. Black people were normal and not particularly violent. There would be a couple at your school, you didn't really have classes with them except maybe P.E. and you could develop a casual friendship with them. They would actually like you and look up to you for being white. Gay was a put-down. Maybe it was a bit cruel to actual gay people, but most people just laughed at people who were queer, in a lighthearted way, and didn't "hate" them. They knew they were odd, the same way the really short kid, or the kid whose real dad divorced 10 years ago, or the kid who just moved here from out of town were all "odd." It wasn't a problem.
The surprising thing to me was seeing this and then realizing how life really was normal up until 2000. Even our commercialism and commerce was wholesome back then! Things have really only sucked here for 20 years. Sorry, Zoomers.
By far, I think the biggest difference was how EVERYONE SMILED back then. I rarely see people smiling and happy today.

It says all 9 crew members escaped with minor injuries, according to Wikipedia , I doubt the navy makes public the cause of the crash but that’s nuts. I mean the whole story is nuts. Why are USA navy jets missing the runway?
