It's public relations and they want to have a maximum showing of support for their leaders and lack of fear for their enemies. No Western country has been under attack since WW2, so there's no comparison.

Did the Serbs do something like this in 1999? I doubt it because the danger would have been too high.

It would take a multiyear campaign to clear and secure commercial traffic through the Hormuz Strait and in the Persian Gulf. See the Houthis and the Red Sea...

This was their MO during the Iran/Iraq war as well, Iran just sent endless waves and waves of men to be cut down.

Seeing how Witkoff does not seem to understand the difference between nuclear weapons and nuclear energy, and was not even bright enough to bring along an expert advisor, I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

Why was a girls school still open near a military building, a potential military target during the start of a war?

Why are civilians walking around where bombs are being dropped?

We dont have this culture in the west we keep our woman and children out of harms way, I hate to judge but It almost gives me the impression that they want civilians to get hurt, I dont know about you but I wouldnt have sent my kids to school if my country was having a national emergency and being bombed, I would have gone out but wouldn't send my wife and kids out.

No one with any reasonable thought would compare a 13 day missile exchange with a multi-decade war. This is a strawman, and these attacks need to be taken to another thread.

The girls school was double-tapped on the first day of the war.

Did the USA declare war? Did they notify the Iranians that bombs would be dropping so that school evacuations could be done? Or did the USA and Israel just begin dropping bombs in a densely populated city of 9 million people without warning?

Lack of fear or are they shielding themselves with civilians? Its a safety threat to those civilians to openly be walking amongst them openly knowing that you are a mimitary target in my opinion

To my knowledge it wasnt on the first day it was a few days into the attacks, if it was on day 1 then I fully understand and theres nothing that could have been done, can someone verify if it was on day 1?

Let's see Donald Trump and his administration perform a similar walk through the streets of Washington with just civilians and cameras protecting them. No Secret Service or police. There is zero chance. And that is not even factoring in the arrival of Iranian missiles.

Teddy Roosevelt used to do stuff like this and go to war in person and be in the front lines. Western presidents have a high assassination probability they always have, our civilians all own guns and they can be shot in public, Trump was shot almost twice right?

Ok then there was nothing that could be done to prevent that they didnt know it was day one, I think the news of this event came in days later so it felt like it was days after the war started, if its day 1 then yeah very very unfortunate

Ancient😄 not saying theres no chance of assassination but America is the country where most civilians walk around armed so the probability for assasination is much higher in USA and the political hate for each other is very high. Many US presidents have been assasinated or shot.

Im open to correction if this isnt the case?
