Weird Things You've Noticed Recently

Maybe when the jaw muscles are engaged there's more blood flow to the brain. Or when in the past you had to be on alert, watch out for predators, the senses heightened, while eating/chewing, as secularists would say.
I think gum loses it's flavor really fast, and then it is pretty disgusting. I think it is made of plastic now, but used to be made from natural rubber.

I don't really mind, I think the commercials didn't lie- gum stimulates saliva production and helps to neutralize microbial debris that can give you cavities.

I've heard about the plastics issue too, I do currently have a package of the pur brand in my spice drawer, but the so called more 'natural' products are also affected. Thought about growing and freeze-drying sage, or other herb leaves, which are supposedly antiseptic, and chew them like tobacco but it takes an effort and I'm not sure what other substances it contains that may be unhealthy in excess, and would be readily absorbed into the bloodstream through the oral membranes.

There’s a Greek tree sap gum, the name escapes me, but it’s very good for jaw and muscle development. I get Xylichew for myself and kids, supposedly free of plastics and whatever else, but it does lose flavor pretty quick. Ya just can’t win 🤷‍♀️

This has happened to me too, I have ascribed this to being suggested related content after viewing content relating to current world events.

I've gone down a strange rabbit hole picking some of his videos at random and I'm not sure what to make of him. On the one hand he seems to present ideas similar to what is being discussed on this forum (e.g. Pax Judaica, boomers destroying the world), on the other he has views on religion in general and Christianity in particular that I imagine many people would describe as heretical or anathema (e.g. that the Jews didn't kill Jesus, that the Romans did and shifted the blame onto the Jews, and created Catholicism to support this...)

It seems he came to sudden prominence after Trump got reelected and he made a video predicting this months prior - The Professor Who Predicted Trump’s Return and War With Iran

My feeling is that he's a very well-read man who is drawing connections between so many things that you'd have to be a genius or slightly crazy to fully understand or believe him.

Basically the Asian version of this meme:

I am deliberately not going to include a hyperlink to his channel because I am actually unsure if it's a good thing for more people to get too involved in his content, though if you believe you're at the right stage in your life to make up your own mind you'll easily find it, if his content hasn't been showing up in your feed already.
Well, Prof. Jiang just showed up on an Orthodox channel:

This is more of a health concern, is it me or is the food tasting more plastic and processed everyday in The West. I went to a party last night and the chicken tasted like rubber lol

Standard food definitely has changed, not just cheap I'm not talking aldi level just standard meat and ingredients are all terrible now. It didn't used to be like that but it has been for a little while now, in order for your food to taste like food you have to buy the top tier of everything. If I go to kroger and buy "organic" everything my food still tastes good, if I just go and buy standard meat and veggies not even the cheap pre packaged ones just the standard ones the food is inedible to me. Recipe, seasoning or whatever else being equal just the difference between the standard tier and top tier the gap between the two has widened to a large extent recently but I first noticed it probably 10 years ago as I've always lived alone and like to cook. The standard tier used to be fine and it was the low tier you had to stay away from, not anymore.

You being at a party I assume it was mass produced cheaply, the last thing I had professionally catered all the food looked lovely but it tasted like nothing other than preservatives. Thank God I also had my uncles restaurant bring chicken and beef stacked on vertical rotisseries for sandwiches otherwise we would have all gone hungry, that was all anyone ate all the pretty catered food was left barely touched. Anyone who put some of the catered food on a plate just abandoned it which was sad to see but I don't blame them.....just such a terrible waste.

Even the processed stuff that used to be somewhat tolerable has declined as companies skimp out or change ingredients to try and save a quick buck. I used to like a few coffee creamers but they all got so bad I had to drop them. It actually ended up helping me switch to taking my coffee black.

Most 'creamers' now a days have nothing to do with milk. They are just over processed seed oils (like soy or rapeseed) colored to look like milk.

I honestly don’t normally like to mock or make fun of a woman’s appearance, but I honestly thought Laura Wilmer must’ve had some sort of really bad car accident or maybe she got facial burns in a fire somehow and required reconstructive surgery. These are all recent photos
