War On Cartels

100 US troops are already en route to the border. A senior Marine official I spoke to said:
The 500 Marines being sent from being on stand by to help with the California fires will be armed and have magazines in their weapons, unlike during past border missions. The Marines are planning for up to 2500 Marines being sent to the border if requested. The Marines, I am told, are treating this deployment as they would any other emergency contingency (evacuating an Embassy, deploying to a war zone). “Our response will be immediate. We are going in ready to respond. If the cartels shoot at us we will not stand by,” this Marine official told me. "We will be taking whatever equipment we would send if a Marine Expeditionary Unit or MEU were deploying overseas."

Well that was short lived

Can assure you THIS IS the fight Marines want.

Aldo wouldn't be the first time we took Mexico City

A famous Virginia named Robert E Lee got his street cred there...in case folks are wondering.

I'm not going for that one, the cartels are not that dumb and they don't give two shots about any of that anyway they just want to sell their drugs.

Our boys are from the I Wish A Nigga Woods, the cartels want no piece of them.

Oh I'm not saying that the narcos are likely to openly lead complex military campaigns against the US military at the border.... But I am saying this escalation of force is a good thing by our military and any excuse to first the Death Cult of the narco state on our southern border should be exploited.

They are already labeled a terrorist organization.

Marines can be used in limited operations at the behest of the president with out a declaration of war.

This is something I would support. It's actually a war worth fighting and one that directly related to our actual national security with the Fentanyl crisis ....

ETA

This place is a legit cartel hub. Folks in North Houston have known about it and the developers are scumbags.

All these rural communities like the one I live in are incredibly damaged by the influx of these migrants and the overflow of their population into our schools and infrastructure.

I saw it growing up in another area in Texas and see It here also.

No joke, probably most of the Hispanics in the USA would support an invasion of Mexico to take down the cartels. Hell, probably half of the Mexicanos would too.

Mexico in general is not liked by the rest of the Hispanic world, and no one likes the cartels.

I would love if they gave us the excuse, the cartels are a terrible plague on this country and I don't know how the hell they are ignored.....well I do know but it needs to be dealt with. Our boys God Bless them put their lives on the line for bullshit, might as well do it for something real.

Who here has read Tom Clancy's Clear and Present Danger or seen the movie adaptation?

Where there's a will, there's a way.

Of course, with modern drone warfare, this would be even easier.

That's anticlimactic. He run his mouth so much only to tap out before the fight even started. What a fag.

Any and all ops against the cartels have my vote. They've got more American blood on their hands, than Saddam ever did. And looking how our NatSec advisor is an asymmetric warfare specialist I sure hope he's got some surprises for them. But what's even more important than military ops, is going after their financial and political networks - rendition every single cartel enabler: cops, judges, bankers, politicians, etc.

My sentiment exactly. Lee is one of the finest Americans this country has ever produced and a brilliant mind. If we had more men of that character in leadership positions in our military now instead of yes men we would be much better off.

Geee I wonder if Scheinbaum has the same Cartel support that Calderon did....

Just kidding trick question. Of course she did or she's be dead.

The only issue I see with taking out the cartels as I see it, it’s like fighting a hydra(you kill one head and another grows right back)

Kill one drug kingpin in a cartel someone else immediately replaces them.

Going after their drug trafficking distribution system I guess coukd theoretically work but it’s hard to win the war on drugs long term.

Also it’s just a matter of time before we get another pro migrant democrat in office to flood the USA with poison again

I’m not saying we should not try, but realistically it will be difficult to win long term
