USA is converting to Orthodox Christianity by the millions.

It's certainly going to be difficult. Anything worth doing is difficult. The real question is if it's easier or harder than finding a decent woman in the West. And I think we all have an idea of that.
Agreed. Ultimately God knows what He's doing. If the problem of suitable women is to be solved then God will solve it, if not then there is a greater purpose at work. Whatever the case, it doesn't mean things will be easy for any of us.

We all have to know we will be tested and there will be tribulations. But also trust God that He will never give us anything beyond our ability to handle.
For sure, but not everyone is going to want to handle it

I think the threshold of what we can handle is a lot different to what we want to handle. Most people say this in a context of "don't worry if you can't handle never having sex again, Christ will sort you out a woman"

Most of us could handle it if push comes to shove. We just don't want to.

The Orthodox Church is indeed masculine, but it is the home of traditional feminity as well. And we really need to find a way to bring more young women into the Church or all these men will have no one to marry and raise Orthodox children with. That's the only way this growth will be sustainable.

People keep crying about this, but everything I've ever seen tells me not to worry. Where ever the men go, women will follow. Geeks playing vidya games in the 80's has now morphed into the world's most popular pastime that includes millions of women.

It may take a few decades, but the women will catch up. As for the older guys who will miss out on a wife or children, that is the cross the Lord has blessed for you to bear, so that you may perfect your faith.

But the Church will be fine. The women will come, if the men, especially the young men, are converting.

It's great that this is happening, but I am wary that it might not be the golden age we are all hoping for. The media putting the spotlight on it could be the first step in a campaign of persecution.

Rejoice brothers, but lets brace ourselves too

Glory to God for all things

Persecution would make the Orthodox Church grow larger than ever, if it occurs under Talmudic rule. If there is freedom of religion, and other Christian churches are left alone, but Orthodox Churches are being shut down, then everyone knows which one is the true Church.

Anyone know about this guy? He goes by "Apostate Prophet" and has just recently converted to Orthodoxy from atheism.

The conversion has predictably upset Muslims and atheists. His name sounds Turkish. I've seen clips of him a few times where he was debating and collaborating with a Protestant influencer (Inspiring Philosophy). He seemed to hold strong Zionist leanings, too, so I'm rather surprised he went Orthodox.

The church grows by the blood of the martyrs. St Ignatius anyone?

Our guy squared off with Emperor Trajan.

For those who don’t know the story -
It was Trajans chariot race day and he wanted all the elders of Antioch to offer sacrifice to the gods to begin the games.

St ignatius sat Trajan down and told him these “things” you worship are actually demons. You should repent of your sins and worship the life creating trinity. Trajan had him executed for blasphemy. Interestingly, Trajan felt bad about it years later. We’ll break the Talmuds eventually - that’s what the prophecy of the end times is really about. They’re all atheists anyway. For their children the beliefs of the shtetl will become legend - their legend will become myth - and someday it will fade away. If we want this come to pass, we must be ready to look the talmuds in the eye and stare down death like St Ignatius did to Emperor Trajan.

Imagine being an actual Jew though. You conquered for yourself the largest economy on earth but you’re still a slave to your delusions and both simultaneously don’t believe in god but believe in his rules for you?

What happened at the very start of 2022 that made this sudden jump?

Two big things come to mind:

- Start of Russia-Ukrainian war
- Open discussion of mandating the vax

So we had years of lockdowns followed up with WW3 and the government trying to force people to take drugs to work a job. Suddenly people realized that this world makes no sense, their death was a real possibility, and they wanted something more stable and permanent beyond what this crazy disgusting world could offer. They decided to look for God and found Orthodoxy.

The more evident and blatant the evil becomes, the more one will search for Truth and Love.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them
-Matthew 7:16-20

Saint Paisios and others prophecied of a golden age of Orthodoxy coming. I believe these are the first steps. In our generation he said the Greeks will take Constantinople. In order to reach it, it is likely many will pass through great tribulation. He also spoke of a great war coming, linked to the situation between Israel, Iran, Russia, Turkey and Greece.

I love St. Paisios but if you listen to Bishop Neophytos of Morphou (Cyprus) you'll see the Saints are quite happy being wrong about a lot of their "prophetic" visions and in fact, many are what secular or laypeople would consider "wrong" as it turns out. I'm not worried about it at all as I see most things being types or archetypes of living, just like the end times. The day of the Lord, while something that eventually will be "real" (chronologically in history) really more importantly is our death, over which we should be vigilant. That day, the Lord will meet and judge us.

What I can see is that the immigrants and national/cultural Orthodox, which incidentally gave many of us the faith, at least to measure and verify its truth, are going away in order to give it to people who find it a treasure of great price. The immigrants mostly were ignorant of it, and didn't take interest in it as much, though they weren't totally rebellious to it. They are people after all, and a better life or mammon drove them to go to new places. The part that's the hardest and why we have the hardest hitting threads on this forum is that many of us are inheritors of "successful" lives and even know the faith is enduring and the most important part of life, but the wife and children or family part has been seen or discerned to be less than ideal, if even possible, at this point.

The protestant converts will continue to learn and be more balanced in the faith, and I applaud them.
