In the South Donetsk direction, in recent weeks, the Russian Armed Forces have significantly expanded their zone of control in the area of the T-05-24 highway, and on the approaches to Vuhledar. This became possible immediately after the capture of several large strongholds located along the road, after which the Armed Forces of Ukraine were forced to roll back in the direction of Vodyane.
Fighting is currently underway in Vodyane, as well as on the approaches to the industrial zone.
In addition, strikes were carried out on observation posts and positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of the Pivdennondonbaska No.3 and No.1 mines, both from tanks and FPV drones. The assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces had landed on the territory of the latter and consolidated their position in the area.

Further success in this direction in the event of the liberation of Vodyane will put Vuhledar in a semi-encirclement from the right flank, significantly complicating the situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city.
At the same time, there has been an increase in the intensity of shelling of enemy positions in Vuhledar itself. Some channels even announced an assault, by the Russian Armed Forces from Pavlivka, in the direction of the city, which was nothing more than a rumor. It is worth reminding that frontal attacks from Pavlivka are pointless without a simultaneous offensive from the west and east (this was confirmed by unsuccessful assaults on Vuhledar last year). The change in tactics for storming enemy strongholds allows us to hope that one of the enemy's most important strongholds will soon be captured.
At the same time, Russian stormtroopers achieved success west of Vuhledar, in the Prechystivka area. Over the past few days, the Russian Armed Forces have been actively launching missile and bomb strikes on enemy positions in the area of the village, also using heavy flamethrower systems TOS "Solntsepek". In the first days of September, it became known that the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces had consolidated their positions on the outskirts of the village, having advanced several kilometers, and today the Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of Prechystivka - enemy resources already wrote about the capture of the settlement earlier. At the moment, the front runs along the Kashlahach River. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are still present on the approaches to Novomaiorske, located west of Prechystivka."

That Vuhledar/Ughledar corner has been a tough nut for Russia to crack for 2 years. They appear to be setting up for an envelopment from west or north (both?) as they have now extended the western line up to Prechystivka. Taking it head on for 2 years hasn't worked.

That was an impressive maneuver today:



I read recently that Ukraine rotated the old Vuhledar unit up towards Pokrovsk, as they were proven winners. Not sure what Ukrainian unit holds Vuhledar now.

At night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a massive attack on Russian regions. Air defense forces intercepted 144 enemy drones in eight regions of the country. There were casualties.
The largest number of targets were destroyed in the airspace of the Bryansk region - air defense forces shot down 72 drones. According to available data, no damage or casualties were recorded in the region.
13 enemy UAVs were intercepted in the airspace of the Tula region, some of the debris fell on the territory of one of the local fuel and energy facilities. According to local authorities, the plant did not receive serious damage and the technological process was not disrupted. There were no reports of casualties in the region as a result of the attack.
In the Moscow Region, Ukrainian drones damaged two residential buildings in Ramenskoye.
- As a result of the explosion on Sportivny Proezd Street, a civilian was killed and three more people were injured. In the first building, damage was recorded in 54 out of 102 apartments, while no damage to the supporting structures was found.
- The second strike hit a building on Vysokovoltnaya Street, where the UAVs damaged several balconies on the ninth floor. Some of the drone debris fell near the building, emergency services demined the area.
- More than 40 city residents are currently in temporary accommodation centers, they are receiving all the necessary assistance.
- Local authorities are assessing the damage received and, according to the statements of the regional governor, have pledged to help restore all facilities damaged during the attack.
Ukrainian drones were also intercepted over the territories of Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Kaluga and Oryol regions. Temporary flight restrictions were introduced at the airports of Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Zhukovsky and Kazan. According to available data, damage and casualties in the listed regions were avoided."

In the Kursk direction, the Russian Armed Forces launched a counterattack on one of the sectors of the front, liberating two settlements in less than a day and engaging in battles in at least two more. Some units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area are at risk of encirclement, while the forward detachments of the Russian Armed Force continue their offensive moving both to the south and to the east.
On the border of the Glushkovo and Korenevo districts, units of the 155th Marine Brigade and the 51st Airborne Regiment of the Russian Armed Force launched a counteroffensive along the Snagost - Gordeevka line.
To the north of Snagost, Russian Airborne Forces have made significant progress, taking control of the approaches to the village and entering its territory. According to preliminary reports, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have withdrawn some units from the settlement, but its current status is still unknown.

As a result of the successful actions of the Russian Armed Forces, there is a threat of encirclement of enemy units located in the Krasnooktyabrskoe area and the nearby forest. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is already faced with a choice - to transfer reserves from another sector to hold positions in the Korenevo district or to withdraw troops in order to avoid encirclement.
In the area of the 10th Oktyabr, units of the Russian Armed Forces carried out a successful attack, knocking out the enemy forces from several positions in the area of the settlement. At the moment, it is not possible to assess the scale of the advance due to the lack of footage from the field.
Further to the south, Russian troops knocked out the Armed Forces of Ukraine from some positions in Apanasovka and its environs. Our sources do not confirm the complete liberation of the settlement, but in light of the successes in other areas, the situation of Ukrainian units defending it, may become significantly more complicated in the near future.
Also, during a series of attacks, Russian troops drove the enemy out of several positions north and south of Byakhovo, taking the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located there into a semi-encirclement. At the moment, the village is rather in the "gray zone", it is not possible to confirm the information about its liberation.
At the same time, units of the Russian Armed Forces liberated Vnezapnoe and Gordeevka, and also started fighting for Viktorovka. In the latter, at the moment, according to information from the ground, the presence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may remain.Nevertheless, they are also under the threat of semi-encirclement, which makes it likely that the village will come under the control of the Russian Armed Forces in the near future.
The situation in the Sudzha district has not undergone significant changes. The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched several attacks in the area of Cherkasskaya Konopelka, Kamyshevka, Maryevka and Borki, but were unsuccessful."

In the Kursk direction, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue their offensive in the Korenevo district.
Russian paratroopers liberated the 10th Oktyabr tract, and also liberated and consolidated their positions in Snagost. During the battle, a group of Ukrainian soldiers was captured.

Against the backdrop of reports of the liberation of Vishnevka, the situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krasnooktyabrskoe area is close to deplorable - the enemy had previously pulled personnel and equipment into Krasnooktyabrskoe and the forest to the north, settling up positions in the forest between the railway and the Seym River. Closer to midday, the Russian Armed Forces cleared Apanasovka, finally forming a cauldron.
According to preliminary data, Obukhovka was cleared by morning: if the information is confirmed, this will also indicate the liberation of Byakhovo.
There are also battles in the vicinity of Olgovka and Kremyanoe. According to preliminary reports, Russian troops have also launched an offensive here, although its results remain unknown at the moment.
Clashes continue in the Sudzha district. According to incoming reports, Russian troops attacked on the Pogrebki-Kamyshevka line in the direction of Malaya Loknya, but the scale of the advance is not yet clear, and there have been no reports about the liberation of settlements.️ Fighting is also recorded on the Borki-Fanaseevka line.
In Goncharovka, on the outskirts of Sudzha, a reconnaissance and strike drone "Forpost" destroyed two Ukrainian tanks."

In the South Donetsk direction, Russian troops, after recently consolidating along the T-05-24 highway, crossed the road and stormed Vodyane. The assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces entered the territory of the village and, after two days of fighting, liberated the settlement. Footage of flags being raised in the center and on the outskirts of the settlement was published.
According to available data, Russian troops also took control of the industrial zone of the Stroydetal Plant and adjacent dachas, while the Armed Forces of Ukraine are consolidating in the forest belts and surrounding areas of the Pivdennodonbaska Mine No.3, preparing it for defense.
To the south, Russian stormtroopers hoisted a flag on the pile driver of the Pivdennodonbaska Mine No.1. In the video, the fighters are standing at full height, so the presence of the enemy in the area of the nearby waste heap is unlikely.

At the moment, the territory of the mine complex is being cleared and infantry groups are being consolidated at the captured positions.
At the same time, the Russian Armed Forces are moving north from Pavlivka, trying to bypass Vuhledar from the west. A Russian reconnaissance group managed to cross the Kashlahach River on motorcycles, where it came under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the moment, the outcome of the battle is unknown.
In the north, in the Pobjeda area, there are also successes. During the assault of a Russian armored group on forest plantations to the west of the village, an assault detachment was landed, which captured the nearest forest belt and consolidated in the area."

Last night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to land on the Crimea-2 platform at the Golitsyn gas field. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the enemy used 14 Willard Sea Force boats with members of the special operations forces of the so-called Ukrainian Navy.
The goal of the operation was to seize the drilling rig. According to official data, the Russian Armed Forces managed to destroy eight watercraft, while six more retreated.
The Ukrainian forces that participated in the raid actively used FPV drones, launching them directly from high-speed boats. Thus, the Russian servicemen counted at least 26 hits by drones of this type.
In addition, the enemy actively launched MANPADS at Russian aircraft, which were targeting Ukrainian boats with autocannons and other weapons.

Footage shot during yesterday's unsuccessful attempt by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine to seize the Crimea-2 drilling rig. The video shows a Su-30SM from the Black Sea Fleet's Maritime Defense Forces flying overhead, which, according to the enemy, was shot down by a MANPADS.

Despite the fact that another operation in the Black Sea ended unsuccessfully for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Kiev regime will clearly make a new attempt to seize this or another drilling rig in the near future.

It is characteristic almost exactly a year ago, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried again and again to land troops on platforms at sea, despite losses and the lack of practical results."

For a long time, the Kupyansk-Svatove direction was considered the most static section of the front, but after the "Kursk adventure" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the beginning of the Russian offensive in the DPR, some revival of operations occurred here as well. And although the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this direction remain relatively stable, Russian troops continue to methodically expand their zone of control, preparing for a further offensive.
After the liberation of Synkivka, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces began fighting in the forest to the southwest of the village. Clearing this area will allow Russian troops to create a bridgehead three kilometers north of Kupyansk and develop an offensive on Petropavlovka. In the latter, the Russian Aerospace Forces strike enemy targets almost daily. Only in the last two days, objective footage has confirmed the defeat of temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the settlement.

To the south, the advance of Russian troops is recorded in the Peschanoye area: according to the enemy's footage, units of the Russian Armed Forces managed to occupy several forest belts to the west and north of the village. At the same time, west of Peschanoye, a powerful strike was carried out with 15 aerial bombs on Ukrainian positions in Kolisnykivka - this may indicate both the intentions of the Russian troops to further advance to the bank of the Oskil River, or a discovery of a relatively large concentration of enemy forces in the settlement.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine still retain control over at least part of Berestove and the surrounding forest belts. At the same time, to the south of the settlement, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces were able to advance about a kilometer deep to the west.
The enemy is actively using drones with a device for spraying incendiary mixtures over the positions of Russian troops in forests. Only in recent days, similar drones have been spotted in footage to the west of Lyman Pershyi, south of Berestove and in the Peschanoye area. However, similar incendiary drones have already appeared among Russian UAV operators."

The Armed Forces of the Russian federation continue to break through the Ukrainian defenses in the Toretsk agglomeration. The assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces are conducting assault operations in dense urban development, getting closer and closer to the center of Toretsk.
Almost all of Druzhba, with the exception of the northernmost street, has come under the control of Russian troops. Simultaneously with the liberation of Druzhba, the fighting in Kirove/Pivnichne is coming to its logical conclusion, where just several streets on the western outskirts remain under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Russian troops have consolidated their positions on Shcherbinovskaya, Samanna, and Chapayeva streets. After the last streets are taken, it will be possible to advance further along the railway in the direction of Dachne, as well as to the southwest, taking the enemy garrison in Toretsk in a "pincer" from the flank.
In Toretsk itself. Russian troops took control of Microdistrict No.1 at the entrance to the city, occupied the territory of the penal colony and the local bakery. At the same time, there has been no information about the capture of the waste heap of the Nova Mine. Control over this height will provide an overview of the adjacent forest to the southwest of the mine.
The command of Armed Forces of Ukraine transferred the 12th "Azov" Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine to the New York area. The Ukrainian troops that arrived to reinforce the positions immediately posted footage of their work on the Internet, thanks to which it was possible to establish that Russian troops already control at least 60% of Nelipivka.
Another notable event of the week was the confrontation of "flag drops" on the territory of the Phenol Plant in New York. At first, Ukrainians from the 53rd Mechanized Brigade posted footage of their flag attached to a magnet. And then Russian troops published the moment of their flag dropping from an FPV drone in the same place. After that, another video appeared, this time from the ground, where a soldier was installing a flag on one of the last houses on the way out of New York. At the moment, the settlement is entirely under the control of the Russian Armed Forces.

However it seems unlikely in this case. The ship's ownership (a legit shipping company), as well as minor damage she received (a single, relatively small projectile) suggest she was, most likely, hit by accident. Collateral damage.
There's also a possibility that it was a ukrainian false flag attack to cover up another failure of their special forces, but also to try to provoke escalation - she was hit in Romanian territorial waters.

In the Kursk region, the Russian Armed Forces are building on the success of the previous days, displacing the Armed Forces of Ukraine from many previously occupied settlements.
In the Glushkovo district, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to unsuccessfully attack across the state border, in the direction of the outskirts of the settlements of Medvezhe and Novyi Put. Near the latter, an enemy IMR-2 obstacle clearance vehicle even managed to drive several hundred meters before it hit a mine. At the moment, fighting continues in the area of the state border line, the enemy's attempts to gain a foothold in the villages have been thwarted.
In the Korenevo district, the Russian Armed Forces cleared the settlement of Krasnooktyabrskoe. As a trophy, Russian fighters got an abandoned International MaxxPro armored vehicle.

In the Vishnevka area, the enemy attacked the assault detachment of the Russian Armed Forces with a drone - later the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed its liberation. And in Snagost, a detachment of Ukrainian fighters fell into an organized ambush on the southern outskirts of the village: a minibus with Ukrainian personnel was shot at point-blank range with an RPG.

The enemy was also driven out of the outskirts of Byakhovo, Vnezapnoe, Viktorovka and Gordeevka. In addition, after Russian troops liberated Obukhovka, they advanced in the direction of the Pokrovsky Farm, already in the Sudzha district.
At the same time, fighting continues in the north, in Olgovka, where the Russian Armed Forces are repelling Ukrainian attempts to penetrate deep into the Russian positions.
In Russkaya Konopelka, in the Sudzha district, a Russian BMD fired point-blank at Ukrainian positions - at the moment, the village is mostly under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. Fighting continues in the area of Martynovka and Fanaseevka.

Russian troops continue their offensive in the direction of Kurakhove, methodically breaking through the enemy's defenses from the east. It was in this sector of the front that the Russian Armed Forces first used armored vehicles modified with protection against drones and cumulative shells, popularly nicknamed "tsar tanks".
Over the past month, only the northwestern outskirts of Krasnohorivka remained under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After liberating the residential sector located on the right bank of the Lozova River, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces also drove the enemy out of the territory of the farm complex located to the west. And in the area of the "Kolkhoz Lenina" Microdistrict, small groups of Russian stormtroopers, with the support of UAVs, cleared out positions occupied by the Ukrainian troops. At the same time, Russian fighters managed to evacuate several civilians who had previously refused to move deeper into the so-called Ukraine.
The complete liberation of Krasnohorivka and the clearing of its western outskirts was marked at the end of last week by the raising of the flag and an advance in the fields to the north.

Last night, it became known that the Russian Armed Forces had carried out a large-scale offensive in the fields between Krasnohorivka and Heorhiivka, eliminating the pocket between the Lozova River and the Sukha Gully. A column of armored vehicles of the Russian Armed Forces advanced from the Lisya Balka and moved southwest in the direction of Hostre. Having crossed the railway line, the Russian assault force consolidated its position on the eastern outskirts of the settlement - currently, about a third of the settlement is under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. Fighting is taking place on the approaches to School No.24 and the Hostre railway station.
Despite the fact that the enemy claimed to have allegedly "repulsed the assault" and inflicted significant losses on the Russian Armed Forces, even the footage they published refutes this information. Almost all the equipment reached its destination and landed the assault force among the relatively intact buildings of the settlement.
Taking Hostre will hasten the liberation of the long-suffering Maksymilyanivka, and through an attack on Oleksandropil, facilitate the offensive from the north toward the Hirnyk-Zoryane line, with the goal of closing the "lid of the cauldron" more than 10 kilometers deep in the fields west of Nevelske.
In addition, the elimination of a large enemy fortified area in Kurakhove will move the front line away from the DPR and significantly reduce the Ukrainian ability to carry out artillery strikes on Russian cities."

During their counteroffensive in the Kursk direction, the Russian Armed Forces reached the outskirts of Liubimovka and Pokrovskoe. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are attacking the flank of Russian troops in order to slow the pace of advance.
In the south of the Glushkovo district, fighting has been going on for more than a day on the southern outskirts of Veseloe, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine reached after overcoming the barriers on the border several days earlier. The enemy is using the occupied village of Novyi Put as a transit point, where assault groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dismount for further entry into battle near Veseloe.
In the Korenevo district, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces have reached the outskirts of Pokrovskoe and Liubimovka. At the moment, clashes are taking place in the western part of the latter. The enemy is transferring reinforcements in order to slow down the advance of Russian troops.
The liberation of Liubimovka will pose a threat to the lines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine going through the 38K-030 highway. In this case, the enemy group in the Korenevo area may face a severe supply shortage.
The advancing units of the Russian Armed Forces are supported by artillery and aviation, regularly "knocking out" the fire support assets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, in the Darino area, Russian aviation destroyed another enemy self-propelled gun at a firing position in a forest.
The information spreading about the liberation of Darino has not yet been confirmed, although at the current rate of advance, the Russian Armed Forces should soon be expected to reach the northern outskirts of the village. The Snagost River, which acts as a natural boundary, poses a difficulty.
In the Sudzha district, the Russian Armed Forces carried out an attack on Borki: after fire preparation, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces entered the village and began to destroy the firing points of the enemy. At the moment, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been driven out of positions in at least the northeastern part of the settlement.

Moreover, this direction of the Russian offensive suggests that the neighboring Spalnoe is already under the control of the Russian Armed Forces."

In the Artemovsk direction, Russian troops are "biting" into the enemy's defenses in several sectors of the front. Units of the Russian Armed Forces managed to expand the zone of control both in the north, in the Hryhorivka area and in the south, to the west of Klishchiivka.
Russian troops drove the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of several positions north of Zaliznyanske, reviving a "frozen" sector of the front. Given the geographical features of the area and information from our sources, we can say that at the moment the advance of Russian troops is significantly greater than can be confirmed by the available footage.
To the southwest of Hryhorivka, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces have made significant progress, taking control of a forest area and physically cutting off one of the roads leading to the village. The Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of the settlement, which, apparently, will have to be confirmed by relevant footage in the near future.
To the south, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces crossed the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal and liberated a part of western Kalinivka/Kalinina, entrenching themselves in apartment buildings. This village became the site of fierce fighting due to its importance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine - the occupation of positions by the Russian Armed Forces in this area will allow them to launch an offensive to the south, bypassing the enemy's defensive lines in the Oktyabrsky Microdistrict in Chasiv Yar.
The assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces are methodically clearing enemy positions, using all available means for this. During one such episode, a Russian soldier destroyed Ukrainian military personnel at a stronghold, hidden in a pipe under a railway bridge, by throwing a backpack with an anti-tank mine inside. Despite the certain danger of using mines in this way, this tactic is becoming more and more widespread among Russian stormtroopers.

To the southwest of Klishchiivka, the Russian Armed Forces are conducting an offensive with the aim of dislodging the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the left bank of the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal and reaching the canal bed on a wide front. During a series of battles in this area, Russian troops drove the enemy out of several forest belts. Now the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces are faced with the task of storming enemy positions in the forests to the west, control over which is necessary to cross the canal in several places.
At the same time, the Russian Armed Forces regularly strike military infrastructure behind enemy lines. Thus yesterday, the Russian Aerospace Forces hit the territory of a wagon depot in Kostyantynivka. According to reports, this facility was used as a storage and repair base for the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

In the Pokrovsk direction, fighting is underway both in the north, on the approaches to Myrnohrad where the Armed Forces of Ukraine have organized a new line of defense to the south of the city, and in the south, where the Russian Armed Forces managed to break through the enemy's defenses in the vicinity of Ukrainsk and occupy most of the city.
In Hrodivka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding positions on the left bank of the Zhuravka River. The defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area is based on a network of fortifications to the north of the settlement, located on a high ground relative to the Russian positions. This allows the enemy to conduct visual observation of the approaches to the settlement.
South of Mykolaivka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a counterattack in the direction of Krutyi Yar in order to prevent the Russian Armed Forces from consolidating in the settlement. Russian troops retreated to the forest belts south of the settlement, where they regrouped. Considering that the enemy positions in Krutyi Yar are practically half-encircled, we should expect renewed attacks from the Russian Armed Forces in this area in the near future.
The situation in the Novohrodivka area remains stably tense. According to available data, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are refraining from counterattacks in this sector, and are preparing defenses on the Lysivka-Vishneve line. At the same time, fighting continues in the area of the waste heap of the Novogrodovskaya No.2 Mine; there is currently no information on the status of the facility.
Further to the south, units of the Russian Armed Forces continue fighting in Selydove and its environs. The line of contact runs along Gogol and Krinichnaya streets, to the west of which the Armed Forces of Ukraine have organized a defense line in a block of multi-story buildings.
To the southwest of Mykhailivka, fighting continues in the area of the previously destroyed railway bridge. Neither side, judging by the available footage, has been able to establish control over the railway line. The success of Russian troops in this area will allow them to secure the southern flank of the Russian group fighting in Selydove.
At the same time, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces pushed through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine northwest of Ukrainsk, reaching the rear of the enemy troops defending the city. After this, the Russian Armed Forces, in a series of attacks, drove the enemy out of most of the settlement. Separate units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are still defending on the western outskirts of the city and on the waste heap of the Ukrainsk mine.
The Russian Armed Forces are methodically "knocking out" key objects of the enemy's transport infrastructure in Pokrovsk and its environs. On the evening of September 13, the Russian Armed Forces launched a missile strike that destroyed several spans of the "Eastern Overpass" - a key transport artery through which the Myrnohrad garrison was supplied. Together with the earlier destruction of the "Myrnohrad Overpass", this creates a threatening situation for the supply system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the entire agglomeration."

Between Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, the Dmitrovsky Bridge was destroyed, through which the Ukrainian garrisons of these two neighboring cities communicated.

In the South Donetsk direction, Russian troops continue to advance in the Vodyane area. The assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces, supported by armored vehicles, are clearing forest belts between the Vykriana and Solonenka ravines, to the north and northeast of the settlement.
Fighting continues in the area of the Pivdennodonbaska Mine No.3, most of which was captured by Russian stormtroopers several days ago.

The enemy's presence is recorded on the western outskirts of the industrial zone. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to countrattack from Bohoyavlenka several times, but unsuccessfully.
Fighting continues in the area of the Pivdennodonbaska Mine No.1, in the vicinity of which the Russian zone of control has also been somewhat expanded. The Russian Armed Forces are carrying out multiple air and artillery strikes on the eastern outskirts and the northern part of the Vuhledar dachas. Fighting is ongoing. The resistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine remains quite serious.
At the same time, the general situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Vuhledar sector has become significantly more complicated and continues to deteriorate, which, however, does not mean an easy assault on the city, which, although badly damaged, remains quite convenient for defense."

"The situation in the Russian borderland by the end of September 16, 2024

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue their attempts to advance in the Glushkovo district, attacking Russian Armed Forces positions near Krasnooktyabrskoe, Veseloe and Medvezhye. Reports of the enemy entering the first two settlements have been not confirmed by objective footage, however north of Medvezhye, Russian UAV operators defeated a group of Ukrainian armored vehicles heading towards Glushkovo.
In the area of Novyi Put, Russian unmanned aircraft struck the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine which could not be identified. Some sources call it an American-made M270 MLRS, but its presence near the forward positions is impractical due to the high risk of elimination.

In the Korenevo district, the Russian Armed Forces are advancing, liberating villages. Today, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced control over Uspenovka, but it has not yet been possible to confirm this with video materials, as well as the liberation of Darino. It is only reliably known about the ongoing attacks of the Russian Armed Forces in the direction of these settlements. In addition, fighting is ongoing in the Liubimovka area, to the northeast of which another Ukrainian tank was destroyed in the Zelenyy Shlyakh area.
In the Sudzha district, Russian aviation is actively working on the identified enemy concentration sites near Pravda and in the vicinity of Yuzhnyi. In addition, there were official reports about the liberation of the village of Borki, but according to information from the ground, there may still be a focal presence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the western outskirts of the settlement. There is also contradictory information about the advance of Russian assault detachments to the outskirts of Plekhovo.
Further to the south, in the Spalnoe-Ozerki-Kucherov area, there has been a lull for quite a long time, none of the settlements appears in the reports from both sides. This area was probably cleared by the Russian Armed Forces after repelling the attacks on Giri, or some time later."

Russian troops continue to advance in the Pokrovsk direction. On the northern flank, fighting continues in Hrodivka, where the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces advanced to the western outskirts of the settlement in the area of Krasna Street, as a result of which the enemy was driven out of the western part of the settlement south of the Zhuravka River.
At the same time, the advance of the Russian Armed Forces was also recorded in the north of the settlement. Judging by the footage published by the enemy, Russian troops occupied buildings on the Stakhanova Street. Thus, less than a third of the city remains under enemy control.
The situation between Hrodivka and Novohrodivka is still hidden by the "fog of war". Enemy attacks were recorded in the vicinity of Krutyi Yar, but it is still unclear whether the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to gain a foothold there.
Fighting continues to the west of Novohrodivka, and near Selydove the enemy is actively counterattacking in the direction of Mykhailivka.
In addition, for the last few days, there have been reports about the successes of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukrainsk. By the evening of September 17, footage appeared on the Internet with the flags of the 114th Motor Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces on the headframe of the Ukrainsk mine, near the Ukrainsk cinema and school No.12: which allows us to confirm the complete liberation of the settlement, which, judging by the panoramic shots, was not badly damaged.

The capture of Ukrainsk will allow the offensive to be developed in the direction of Tsukuryne and Hirnyk.
The status of the waste heap on the western outskirts of the settlement is still in question. On the one hand, without control of the settlement, it is very problematic to occupy and supply positions at this height. On the other hand, as practice shows, the Armed Forces of Ukraine often hold even the most inconvenient positions."
