I was looking at Jewish populations in 1933 in Europe and there were only 500k Jews in Germany at that time, 3 million in Poland, and 2.5 million in USSR, most other countries there weren't very many, except Romania at 900k. If the Germans killed 100% of those Jews, the total would be 6.9 million. Obviously, that wasn't the case given all the survivors. It is on wikipedia that 250-300k survived the camps, making 600k that would have escaped or never been caught. Most of the deaths are said to have occurred at Auschwitz, around 1 million, a number revised and changed from a high of 4 million, down to 1 million, yet the 6 million number has never changed. Among the 6 extermination camps I count around 2.8+ million exterminations if we are to take the wikipedia numbers seriously. One of the camps there is no information on from wikipedia: Majdanek (Google estimate 100k). So, 2.9 million. That's half of 6 million. Where are the other 3 million?
Anyway, I was doing my own little wikipedia searches, I haven't looked at any other source material or related material, even in this own sub, on the holocaust, so I am curious where the current 6 million number comes from, or has no one dared to revise it?
