The Inexorable Decline of California

Domestic violence rates among lesbians is off the freaking chart.

Straight men, straight women, gay men, aren’t anywhere near this violent with their partners compared to lesbian women

Honestly, I think most women are naturally violent, but it goes unreported because when straight women hit men, most men just brush it off since it is like a child attacking you. Women are used to being powerless with men and lash out constantly, but it doesn't matter against 99% of men. Conversely with women on women violence, they can actually hurt each other, and so the violence is revealed from injuries.

Back in the late 80's and early 90's one of my father's childhood friends (Bobby) owned a dive bar in the city. Plenty of bikers would frequent the place. Bands on Friday and Saturday nights. The bar was usually packed to the doors those nights. Maybe, maybe twice a month a fight would break out, but in most cases the fights were squashed relatively quickly.

Bobby ended up selling the place ('97, I think). Part of the sale agreement was that he stay on in a managerial capacity for 2 years. Within a year it turned into a gay/lesbian bar. After that I remember Bobby telling my father and I that he wished it was still a biker dive bar.

"When the bikers were there, it was actually pretty good. A fight here and there, but nothing crazy. Once it turned into the gay bar it changed !! Music playing, everyone's having a good time, all of a sudden some random butch broad would walk up to another one and say, 'hey why are you looking at my girlfriend' and then throw a punch !! There would be fights at least three times a week !!!"

Look, is it just me or is there a total cultural thing here where hispanics and Latinos do whatever they are told. Are anglo-saxons the only people capable of critical thinking??? Seriously, what the heck, these "civil servants" are no better than biblical tax collectors. Collecting paychecks, doing what they are told, don't get fired, leech off of the American system.

Why do you think they have it out for Euros in particular?

It’s not just Latinos that are sheep who follow orders:

I am certain most California businesses know that failing to pay taxes owed to the Treasury constitutes tax evasion and have no intention of following the dangerous path Governor @GavinNewsom is threatening.

I would warn state officials, including payroll managers, that federal law attaches personal liability to an “attempt to evade or defeat tax.” (2/3)
...
.@GavinNewsom’s comments are extremely reckless.

Instead of committing criminal tax evasion, Governor Newsom should consider a tax plan for California that follows the Trump Tax Cuts model and reduces the onerous state tax burden to allow families to keep more of their hard-earned money. (3/3)

Gavin Newsom Threatens to Block California Tax Payments to Federal Government

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) threatened Friday that his state would stop tax payments to the federal government, after news reports suggested President Donald Trump was thinking of cutting funds to the state.

As Breitbart News noted earlier in the day, reports emerged suggesting that the Trump White House was considering cutting federal funding to California due to its challenges to, and defiance of, federal policy.

Breitbart News reported:
[/I]President Donald Trump is reportedly considering ways to pull more federal funding from the State of California, as Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) continues to defy White House policies, despite needing money.

California is suffering a large budget deficit for the second year in a row, with the state’s Medicaid program borrowing money to stay afloat. Newsom has also asked the federal government for $40 billion in fire relief.

But Newsom is also enthusiastically suing the Trump administration over many of its policies, often seeking the kinds of nationwide injunctions that would stop those policies everywhere, not just in California.

Trump had already threatened California’s federal sports funding after the state defied a federal transgender policy that bars biological males from competing in girls’ sports. And this week, the U.S. Department of Transportation suggested the administration could claw back billions of dollars in federal spending wasted on the state’s troubled high-speed rail project.

But Democrats have argued that California should be allowed to oppose federal policies while benefiting from federal spending, especially given the state’s large contributions to federal revenues. And they have pushed back against the idea of conditioning fire aid on policy changes.
[/I]
It is not clear what constitutional authority Newsom has to withhold federal taxes on behalf of individuals, businesses, and other entities within the state. Trump’s authority to withhold funding is far clearer.

A tax revolt by California would recall the “nullification” doctrine popular in some Southern states before the Civil War. It could also trigger a tax revolt by Californians against their own state taxes, which are very high.
