The Cuba Thread

"Sea Horse" haven't made it to Cuba, she diverted her course mid-journey.

And Cuba is now roleplaying North Korea.

As forecasted above the Russians aren't interested in catching any smoke. Also notice the near total foreign paid alt-media blackout on the Russian turn around, quite a shift from the haughty bravado we saw when Moscow announced it would break the blockade. A PR stunt is all it was.

Meanwhile the Cubans are in the dark and increasingly out on the streets.

Before Iran was attacked we saw similar protests happening in Iran, are we about to see Cuba being attacked very soon?

It wasn't serious from the start. 200k barrels of oil would last them maybe two days of normal consumption, a week, maybe more with rationing. If it was serious there would have been another tanker sailing west even before the first one arrived, and then another one. Depending on the size, a tanker every week, or two. Nothing less would make a difference. The best they could achieve with just one, small (handysize) tanker was a PR show. And maybe we'll get to see one - she went dark soon after changing course two weeks ago, so there's a chance that she's still out there, somewhere. Floating around in the western Atlantic, waiting to sneak past the US Navy/Coast Guard.

Is that a current video? Judging by all the masks people are wearing it seems like an old video from Covid times.

The US has issued an ultimatum to Havana to release over 1200 political prisoners, in response Cuba released 51. An important address by Canel-Diaz is scheduled for tomorrow.

Not mentioned here yet, but that important announcement mentioned refered to Cuban leader Diaz-Canel admitting that the Cuban leadership is in negotiations with the DC, this is a break from their 60 year old policy of non-negotiation. Obviously they have been in contact with many US Administrations before for what it's worth.

Marco Rubio also announced that DC is not impressed with the cosmetic changes implemented by Havana. They want a full change of course and leadership, Venezuela style. Apparantly there are people within the Castro family that are sympathetic to the US and they are pushed, that last part is speculation. Cuba has been implementing several policies to soothe the US, yesterday the 'Cuban Perestroika' was announced.

After weeks of loitering in the Atlantic, tanker "Sea Horse" resumes her journey to Cuba.

At the same time, Russia sends another tanker to Cuba - Russian flagged and owned "Anatoly Kolodkin" carrying around 730,000 barrels of oils.
