The China Thread

So....you're being held hostage ? o_O
I was held hostage in Beijing capital airport. I managed to have a McDonalds, but after NOT being groped [for muh security] I proceeded to flight side. I was brutally faced with a lack of an Irish Bar and forced to accept something called a 'Boston bar'. It was a short and terrible hostage situation. There was no Guinness.

That's a good example of why the rants of the China detractors about things like their demography really are retarded, the Chinese can instantly implement changes that would redress any perceived social or economic problem with common sense measures like this one, whereas in the West we are stuck in an ideological and political straightjacket that prevents sensible, common sense policymaking.

Anyone with a bare minimum of knowledge on China and its shenanigans, or economics in general, knows that China has shifted the debt burden onto local governments and state owned companies. Chang way of dealing with reality, cooking the books is kinda the norm over there. Goal is to fool the public and investors & creditors, both foreign and abroad.

In short, China is built on a mountain of debt and wobbly real estate investment. More recently China has gone into massive debt to prop up its stock market and is now going into even bigger debt to prop up its economy. Neither are built to withstand volatile markets and rapid population aging and decrease.

The Chinese markets are unstable - much more than the US', and need constant 'stabilizing operations'. Protip: if your economy needs stabilizing operations it was never stable to begin with. That’s the cost of an economy built on ghost cities, fake data, and CCP lies. Unfortunately the world’s catching on, and no amount of forced buying can stop the long unwind.

Anyone with a bare minimum of knowledge on China and its shenanigans, or economics in general,

You don't have a sound knowledge of either China or economics, you've likely never been there, and don't seem to have had any serious academic or professional background in business or economics.

There are many key economic elements that have been ignored in the article above, for instance the fact that the Chinese have a very high savings rate:

This totally destroys the household debt argument. In the US, half the households can't afford a $1,000 expense and the great majority of people live paycheck to paycheck. Usury and debt slavery is rampant, applied massively across the higher education, healthcare and housing debt-based industries.

You have out of touch neocon critics bashing China about ghost cities when their own cities have been taken over by hedge funds, Blackrock etc which are turning former homeowners and younger aspiring ones into rentiers. Homeowner rights in China are superior as there are no property taxes, or inheritance taxes on homes.

The housing bubble and even the stock market bubble in China has been deliberately deflated as a matter of policy, whereas in the West at every recession banksters are bailed out at the expense of the average citizen, and this has been the source of inflation in the West, while in China home prices have come down and other costs (food, cars, transport etc) have not gone up much. Xi famously declared that houses are meant to be lived in, not for speculation.

BYD and Tesla have roughly the same market cap today at $1 trillion, but while TSLA's P/E ratio is over 180, BYD is 21, nine times lower. BYD sells 3 times as many cars as Tesla, and their growth rate is far higher than Tesla, which is currently stagnant. Yet BYD has the same market cap as Tesla...

The basis of US and 5 eyes wealth, home values (mostly held by Boomers) and overpriced stock markets, F.I.R.E.- driven economies that are far more tenuous than China's. China's industrial capitalism-driven economy is based on manufacturing, sound supply chain management, human development and technological excellence as illustrated in their achievements in the auto and other key industries like semiconductors, AI, transport/civil engineering, energy (nuclear, solar, batteries,...), logistics etc.

This economy is generating a trade surplus that has constantly risen, currently at $1.2 trillion per year, and has accumulated huge reserves, including a hidden gold reserves well over 25,000T, while officially declaring reserves of 1/10th the size.

The irony here with the China detractors is that China actually deliberately understates its economic status, it has done so, religiously, since Deng Xiaping's directive of "hiding your strength and biding your time". The Yuan is undervalued by a factor of 30%-50%, that fact alone undermines the notion that its GDP is inflated.

A lot of Chinese have pulled out of the Anglosphere housing market to redistribute that wealth among their own families back home.

Kudos to them, not so good for me trying to sell lol.

China is starting work on the biggest hydroelectric dam network in the world, which is slated to generate more power than the entire UK power grid (300 TWh), enough to power 50 million homes. a $140 billion project located in the mountains of Tibet near the Indian border.

And India won't have too much water to shit in.

^This is all fake of course, the CCP "Changs" use Uyghur slaves to staple some green leaves on a bunch of twigs and hose the sand dunes down with some green paint, according to resident geopolitical expert LaNegra.

Australia can do with this after their mass land clearing disaster project finally runs out of steam.

Lil Coop dumpster diving per usual, man's really mad he can't push his grug Chang schizo narratives unopposed anymore. Good reminder on why commie thirdworld shitholes are so big on stomping out any non-state approved infostreams, here on CIK cheap CCP narratives quite literally immediately collapsed like a flimsy rotten pudding when any half decent counterpoints got posited.

Yours truly defeated the local wumao department and saved CIK from getting inundated by a non-stop stream of thick grimy CCP propaganda sludge. Not even trying, just casually dropping by in the thread a few times a week yet the fellow travellers are already casting spells and pulling hairs in despair. Flexing on the CCP fanboys just never gets old.

Back to business, couple of weeks ago this high level CCP apparatchik shared yet another hilariously fake propaganda video, this time featuring a Chinese J20 fighter jet doing a vertical take off and landing.

One small problem, the mouth breathers didn't understand that the muzzles/burners were still pointing sideways ergo no upwards thrust, must have missed a lesson or two in those marvellous Chinese physics classes. Also notice how none of them removed the video because that's not how propaganda works.

Let's all move to China!

I'm not sure what the point of this thread is anymore?

Nobody of medium IQ in the US gives two sh*ts about China. We're not moving there, we're not going on holiday there, and we want nothing to do with anything made there. Everything stamped "Made In China" is known here in the US to be garbage. We want made in USA, and we want all Chinese on student visas to go home and attend Chinese universities (being that everything in China is so much better than everything here in the US this should be a no-brainer for them).

And no, China will not be taking over the US because of some imagined Chinese "exceptionalism" by invading the USA with drones and by buying up farm land near US military bases (land we will just seize in a time of crisis and that is being monitored with high grade US military surveillance systems for any nefarious activity). Pure CCP atheist clown world conjecture with no basis in reality. For all our faults, at least the US is a Christian formed nation with God on our side. God's people versus a nation of atheists? Give me a break.

This thread really brings out the crazies on both sides (pro and anti China)

It is a great reminder, or beginning of red pill thinking for normies, of how nice our life could be without the third world moving in and running everything into the ground.

One of the more prominent scams in China is pedestrians pretending they were hit by a car.

Yeah sure, with surveillance cameras everywhere and almost all new cars having cameras and radars, somehow I doubt that there is much of that going on there these days.

Sterzel should try harder, the State Department is not getting its money's worth. Maybe I should cut him some slack, as the pickings are pretty slim these days, judging from the China hater channel he's quoting above. Here are the last 5 entries on that channel https://x.com/xibaozi36064237 :

-A clump of fresh concrete fell in a construction site somewhere in China!
-A leaky roof is leaking in an airport somewhere in China!
-An argument in a crowded subway car between a middle aged woman and some dude somewhere in China!
-A subway train has reportedly stopped or malfunctioned somewhere in China!
-A guy is growing edible mushrooms in a garage somewhere in China!

If those are the worse things he could report on in a country of 1.4 billion people, I'd say things aren't going terribly bad for them.

On any given day in southern California where Sterzel lives, you can find a whole lot worse - homicides, gangbangers, outright riots with thousands of people, crazed homeless by the hundreds, muggings, non-existent infrastructure, arguments devolving into stabbings etc.

You started out pretty well, solid LaNegra-style hatefest intro, 4/5, but the main course left me a bit lacking, J-20 does a CGI jump - meh. I liked the fake mountain and stapled plastic leaves on a tree stories a bit better.
