When Trump was interviewed about the Russian government targeting people, he had a remarkably candid moment and answered along the lines of "we do those things too".

There's 1,200 people arrested and jailed in the UK every year for social media posts - glass houses.

How is this is apples to apples with disappearing your country's richest man for several months?

On that list, only Guo Minhai and Ai Weiwei were dissidents, and only Guo had any intention of being one when he published mainland banned books that were legal in Hong Kong. Fan Bingbing was just getting too big for her britches, meaning she was too popular.

Not trying to be snarky, but this is about China, so no, I don't.

This is out of left field as far as I'm concerned and doesn't really belong here.

My point was about a particular, well-known phenomenon in China that magoo referenced, which was relevant to his post, and I provided some examples. It would probably be best if you just acknowledged this Chinese problem instead of trying to deflect and pivot because that prevents the conversation from staying focused.

There is no equivalent in the West of disappearing someone like Jack Ma. I can't think of anything like that happening since maybe WW2.

I was asked repeatedly on this thread why do I seem to support China despite having no racial ties to that nation. One of the reasons is that in our western political sphere new technologies in many fields, like energy or medical care (cheap cures for cancer and other common diseases that make a lot of money for the medical establishment) are actively suppressed, key figures and inventors sidelined, often through the barrel of a gun. This has been going on since the days of Tesla.



There people are far more valuable to society than female tennis stars or actresses, like this MIT fusion scientist who was killed only yesterday..

Here's the deal, they're not going to keep offing people like that MIT fusion prof once China starts putting that technology in place and the genie is out of the bottle.

In 10-20 years China will have cheap cures for cancer implemented on a large scale in their country, which will ultimately destroy our $800 billion cancer "treatment" industry, not to mention the mRNA and other multibillion dollar poison programs, for which they have to silence dozens of whistleblowers.



Look at AI, oligarchs like Sam Altman working with the deep state can off a whistleblower in their attempt to create a monopoly on AI that would be the cornerstone to the ultimate panopticon control grid.



Then DeepSeek comes out from China with their open source format and a freeware business model that kills the plans for the AI monopoly.

That is the big picture here.

Thank you. I was just about to make my own post about how I'm just gonna stop watching this thread, even though I'm probably one of the most interested in China here. Its an interesting development that America is now conflicted with itself about its relationship with China. I was told they were just a backwards communist backwater my entire life only to find out that they were quickly becoming leaders on the world stage in various industries the whole time. That's gotta be a hard pill to swallow for us here in the West. But I maintain that continuing the global supply chain and developing sustainable tech is the only way to avoid a ton of starvation and disease all over the world through the next few generations. Will the world throw off the shackles of the Jewish Supremacist banking system? Is China a golem got loose or are they just trying to take over the world themselves in place of Isreal? Time will tell.
