An Italian man from Staten Island, NY got stabbed in the neck by Arabs while visiting family in Italy, as he was about to exit a train. They stole his luggage, his chain and crucifix. He stumbled out onto the platform. Lost a liter and a half of blood but was saved.

“I don’t want to die, Lord,” in since-deleted videos that were posted to Instagram.

“It took the ambulance 15 minutes to get to me,” he said. “A few more minutes, and I was a goner. I could feel, with every heartbeat, another gush of blood coming out.”

It's a tricky one to me. I can absolutely understand the wanted to protect his son. At the same time, as a father, he has to know that such violent retaliation will lead to significant fail time. If he is the main breadwinner in the family and his son is young, this will absolutely wreck his family.

His wife will start to date other men, his son's development will be disrupted without a father in the home etc.

Retaliation can only be justified if he expects the criminal to attack again. Otherwise it's just revenge and that is not the Christian way.

But even if the criminal is still a danger to his son, it's probably better to let the cops handle this one than go to prison and leave his family for a very long time. Especially since there is clear video evidence.

Many British people are just getting tired of them. My old man would have done the same thing as this lad's father did.
 
Sad, but not surprising at this point. As we approach the real crisis years, it's another example of context. You can be all non-judgy, judgy, whatever they want to call it (ideal?) but after all those years of the government abdicating responsibility or worse, actively importing foreigners, this is hardly surprising.
