100 years is too far. I'd much rather have been there from 1950 - 1990.

I haven't found this to be true in the Netherlands. They have a lot of immigrants, but I've mostly seen white employees in grocery stores. I think there are fewer Indians in NL generally. Seems like they go mainly to Anglosphere countires.

I think it also depends which supermarket. In Spain Pakistanis tend to run those small 24h supermarkets. But it's difficult to find even one working at the regular supermarkets that close at 20:00/21:00 and have normal price regulation or some form of language skill requirements. The security guards are usually Latinos.


I remember seeing Filipinos at the stores in Croatia.

I sometimes wonder why we in the west show no resistence at all, in addition to saying that all hope is last and things have already reached an irreversible stage. Some eastern european memes illustrate this where they contrast the western euro "Oh, no, my country is lost" mentality with the fact that they were occupied by the Ottomans for 500 years and never gave up.

I'm including myself in this criticism, obviously.

Getting this vibe there from that post, are you Indian, LaNegra?

What that observation points to is that much like in North America, Indians represent a large portion of new migrant arrivals in Europe as well, who are paid even less than the documented migrants already in place, and it also suggests that corporations have set up an H1B-like pipeline to India in the retail/service industries similar to the one in IT.

I was taking it to mean panjeets. In the US, panjeets are heavily in the convenience store and corner grocery sector, like the character in the Simpsons. It sounds like the UK and other Anglo countries are the same.

I think you're right that continental Europe has mostly middle eastern and african, plus some south americans, indonesians, and orientals.

That number seems too high, given the active number of members on the forum. But I can definitely see some trolls or bots on the forum making sense.

I feel as though some actual leftists would definitely enjoy saying "hardcore right wing" things they themselves consider absurd or way over the top.

If we're talking about doing it for fun, then I could imagine something along the lines of what is depicted in the video. It's obviously a skit. Some, not all, former forum members that got banned almost came across as trolls, because of how they insisted on breaking the rules, despite multiple warnings and no real arguments provided on their part.

Very accurate observation. It also reminds me of the movies from the 80s actually where someone, who seems to view the world logically, is declared mentally ill and they're now stuck in this loop of trying to convince others that they're fine and that those around them are the ones struggling to understand the truth.

If you say that migrants are raping too many girls, they will call you racist, deranged or even crazy. It's fascinating.

In this clip, the women claims that how women dress is a contributing factor in getting raped. If I, as a man, said the following about a woman who was raped:

“She went to nightclub in a minidress and got drunk, if she wasn’t reckless and dressed like a whore, she wouldn’t be raped.”

I would be called some monster “victim-blamer.” But why is it fine for this woman to point to the connection between women’s dress and rape? Because she is a woman? Because it’s used to justify xenophobia?
