Tattoos

You'll never have anyone join. And many cops working undercover get tats for that role.
So every cop on the force is a prospective undercover agent in training, and they should all be allowed to get tattoos for this purpose?

What you’re saying is that we’ve lowered our standards so far we can never raise them again. Pathetic.

Whats even worse is that the government, public officials, law enforcement, and citizens of the past allowed (and encoraged) such criminals to invade and gain power and roots in this country that these measures are now even necessary to make any decent advancement towards stopping crime.

There should be a tattoo check to make sure there's no gang tattoos.

Ban them entirely and you'll exclude a lot of the soldiers that police recruit from.

The rule should be no gang tattoos, and no tattoos visible while wearing a full sleeve duty uniform.

Aren’t the gang tats necessary for the undercover ops though like G2Choppa said? What if you need to have face tats to be in the gang, can’t exclude those. Also, what about the gang tats you don’t know about yet. Last, why the fuck are soldiers allowed to get tattoos, do they check for gangs there?

Did Randy Shughart or Gary Gordon have any visible tattoos? How were they even in Delta without some sweet tats on their forearms to show everyone how badass they were?

Tattoos are a symbol of character weakness, at the very least. They are a sign that you feel the need to show off something you think everyone else should think is cool. It’s a sign of impulsiveness, or pride, or the weakness of wanting to fit in, to be cool. It’s a lack of respect for the body Christ gave you.

Tattoos are likewise the first step in irreversible body modification, unlike simple piercings which will heal if removed. People who get tattoos are seduced by the same mindset as trannies, and you hear the same justification from them: “I needed to modify my body to reveal my true self to the world” or “This one represents who I am,” or “This one is something I needed to show the world.” They are all part of a metamorphosis, a transitioning, if you will. One tat, two tats, full sleeve, and so on. Tattooed people are proto-trannies and helped pave the way for that ideology, think about that next time you look at your marked skin.

The rule should be no tattoos, period. If you already have tattoos, then you should be required to remove them at your own expense if you want to be considered for the position. If you are going undercover, the government will provide the requisite tats free of charge. How about that?

And also this is retarded. It’s like the chick at the office who looks clean in a dress but then you see her at the pool and she has a tattoo on her thigh that says “cum dumpster.” Don’t be so foolish, you’re just asking people to hide what they willingly would otherwise reveal just for purposes of the job. Hey, it’s cool that you’re a slut but just don’t advertise it during your 9-5. That’s a problem.

Cops who work gang units and get into deep undercover work are very very rare. Typically you use informants over cops who are now all the sudden tatted up with ms13 tats

I'm not a fan of tats, don't have any myself, but I also don't live in La La Land like you do apparently and understand that they come part in parcel with the type of people that are attracted to this line of work.

I'm sorry dude but being a cop isn't an easy job and lots of folks who gravitate towards that job frequently have tattoos and are frequently former military.

Your characterizations are hyperbolic by intent but I kinda wonder how many cops you've ever interacted with? Or are they all power hungry pigs?

I’ve known and know cops, like most of us likely have. Some are cool, some aren’t. The local cops are actually pretty clean, for the most part. Definitely a bro fraternity, a group that exists to protect its own interests above those of the public it claims to serve.

Coolest cop I ever knew was an old detective, old school guy that wore a six shoot on his hip with a leather holster. The guy was hilarious and had some great stories. Couldn’t stand uniforms though, I think the phrase “power hungry pigs” may have originated from his lips. Thought they were unprofessional and treated the public like everyone was a sand nigger with an IED hidden in the trunk. I respected that guy, and I definitely remember his opinion.

I also grew up around an LAPD cop who was the first person to show me how to shoot. Parents’ friends. Distinctly recall him lamenting the decline of the force and “thuggish” trend of cops. Tattoos were mentioned among the traits. Every beat cop wants to be this guy. I see that as a problem.

I could give a shit about tattoos on a cop.

This is what they deal with every day.
