South Korea

Hyundai wasn't kicked out of Georgia, we just caught them hiring illegals.

I'm not even sure if Hyundai will face any serious consequences for it.

Looks like its he says she says at this point between different media outlets and target audiences.

The South Korea media is claiming they were there to setup a factory and were there to train local workers once the sites' ready and it was part of a tariff deal involving Trump. Also, the videos of S.Korean workers being arrested in shackles are on repeat there.

From what I understand, these workers were hired not by Hyundai directly, but by some sub-contractor to (like You said) setup the factory. But it was going on well before Trump made the tariff deal with Korea.

^Were these workers Koreans used to set up the plant and operations, or non-Korean illegals?

If they were Koreans, Hyundai should have gone through the proper paperwork and set up temporary visas.
