Russia to offer sanctuary & residency to foreigners disgusted by the demonic globohomo clown world west

That's insane if true about Denmark, but I am really skeptical.

We’ll have to take their word for it.

Anyways, the common theme in all these failures is that they don't speak Russian. That makes them no better than the Mexicans here who don't speak English and expect to get hired (which they do, but there is no liberal sympathy in Russia).

If anyone is interested, I have some books, Telegram channels, YouTube Channels to recommend for learning Russian. It’s what I use for my kids.

A great one to start is “Read Russian in 3 Hours” and “Russian Made Easy”. They’re free apps. I like Memrise app too, the video shorts are funny and the best feature they have is an AI chat with different scenarios and you have to actually spell out your responses.

Absolutely and ya it is weird to me too. “Wherever you go, there you are” comes to mind. I’m happy Magoo linked their video in the first place, because I followed up with several expats and found out the following:

  • Hoffman’s: the family in the video above with father in the Russian military. He can’t read Russian, signed a contract for military, was told he would be a “news reporter” or put in a repair battalion. Took less money than promised under the guise of “he will be able to choose where he goes”. They indeed spent all their money on their house in the American Village. Their builder was short 20% because of currency exchange issues and while that wasn’t technically their problem, they didn’t fight contract apparently. They were left with an unfinished yard and other work undone. Wife spent $900 USD in the last month on taxis, they have no money for a car, father’s military pay is at least 2 months delayed, they are accepting food donations. I would not be surprised if they are deported or something because you have to show proof of funds to migration office periodically. They actually don’t even have temporary residency yet, so they’re still on visa. The overall consensus is that Istra is an upscale dacha community with no close-by amenities or jobs, and an unsuitable destination for new expats. They’re on telegram under HuffmanTime
  • Russian Ark Family: a couple days ago, he posted an update saying that basically he is disappointed by lack of help from government and the discrimination he faces from employers (probably because he doesn’t speak fluent Russian, also because he doesn’t have a RU passport) despite having residency permit. “I even submitted a petition detailing the discrimination we’ve faced. Nothing came of it. If we cannot secure employment or meet the income threshold for a family of our size [7 people], we may lose our right to remain… Is Russia truly an ark, or has it become a cruise liner only for the rich and influential immigrants?” They purchased a small, old 2 bedroom home in the Yaroslavl countryside in a small village, bought an economical van, seem to live pretty frugally. If they can’t make it, it just shows the entire premise of moving to such a location is unfeasible. They have a Youtube and Telegram channel under this name.
  • Russia: The American Dream: older, single IT guy moved to Russia. Found a Russian wife around his age. Had a bunch of visa issues from a name typo. Lost remote IT job, tried English teaching, didn’t seem to work out, works odd jobs or night sales online. Barely getting by. Has permanent residency, but without speaking fluent Russian, this doesn’t help. Doesn’t have experience with Linux, and this is majority of IT jobs in his speciality. He is also older, and feels he faces age discrimination. He has a YouTube channel under this name.
  • Original Danish Family: they don’t have an online presence as far as I know. They were one of the original families that moved out to Rostov Veliky (Yaroslavl) region from Denmark. They moved to Russia because the wife was placed in a CPS group for drug addicts while pregnant because they had icons in their home. I heard from another expat that is moving back to America that they also moved back to Denmark.
  • Unnamed Family: they don’t have an online presence, they were just a family who was part of expat group. I spoke with wife and they are moving or moved back by now to the US. They had 4-5 kids, older teenagers, no fluency in Russian, bought or built an expensive home for the region (again, countryside dacha village in Yaroslavl region), had difficulty selling it, used their life savings. She felt deceived by the entire experience, the prominent advocators of moving to rural Russia, etc.
There are probably more like this in the Gen 1 expat wave, I don’t have time to search them out. Seems like people go radio silent and you don’t really hear a follow up with what happened.

Here is one, maybe success story:

  • Home in Russia: Schutzman family, Catholic family of 7 from Kansas. They have been in Russia for about a year. They seem to be spokespeople for the Nizhy Novgorod region in some capacity (there is a push to make this an immigrant friendly city, and finds favor from those who know St Seraphim of Sarov’s prophecy). I think they must have a lot of background support or seriously large savings $$$. They travel and take vacations around the country a lot, very put together presentation and videos. The father apparently just got hired by a Russian IT company and marks the first time I’ve ever heard of a recent expat get a real job. He says there’s many former IBM and Microsoft people there and they’re working on new projects. So perhaps he is good at adapting and is more skilled at networking and presentation than others. I don’t think they are affiliated with the whole American Village thing, and note they moved to an actual city not the countryside.

Whoever leads these people to financial ruin and destitution should be ashamed. People have emigrated there since the 1990s and managed, there’s a lot of great things Russia has to offer, but the ones shilling stuff now made it without all the “help” they’re claiming is needed.

Here is an example of the fear-mongering that leads people to make rash decisions (besides political reasons). I’m not sure it’s satire, but this kind of stuff is mentioned as actual reasons for leaving the West all the time:

I don’t know, it just seems really nuts to me, and on some level regarding longterm trends I agree with them…

You try living as an unvaxxed family in Australia my dear.

I understand Christian families moving to Russia as the system there is not completely rigged against them.

? What do you mean? I’m familiar with Russia, I grew up there part-time and still have first degree relatives there, would consider living there at least part-time in the future, so it’s not like I’m against people moving there. But I am against people moving so ill-prepared/hastily that they literally risk deportation (self or forced) and then return to, in their eyes, a hostile country. Like what would be the point of that? You’d return worse off than when you left. For anyone on this forum interested in this topic, it is useful to see real life worst case scenarios, as there are endless places to find rose colored glasses perspectives.

Ok I didn't know that thanks for sharing.
What I meant is that our family with four kids who are not vaccinated are not living a life we deserve in Australia. Everything from injury and legal help is stonewalled because of that, I swear there's already a credit score system in place here.

I appreciate your postings so please share more about your experience in Russia if you want.

I am not sure exactly where you live in Australia but as an unvaccinated person living in Sydney I stopped feeling any social/legal ramifications of being unvaccinated in 2023 other than the fact that there is still a small number of jobs (aged care, etc) that I would be ineligible for. I am guessing you live somewhere in Victoria (possibly in Melbourne) by the sounds of it. Even then I am sorry to hear that the nonsense you describe is still ongoing.

Still going on full force in this shit hole (clandestine).

I appreciate your concern.

Since you are somewhat familiar with Russia do you have any advice for men who wish to move to Russia permanently regarding finding a Russian woman inside Russia to marry? I mean advice beyond the obvious stuff of having enough money and a way to earn money, learn Russian language, etc. What parts of the country are good for finding a woman, pitfalls to watch out for, how much age gap Russian women are likely to accept, etc?

Aren't you a "simp" too for traveling to other countries who talked about wanting to find a foreign woman?
How is it being a simp to avoid toxic western women? The simp part is that the woman is older not that she is Russian or living in another country. The point being in Russia an American man with some money could marry a woman far younger than himself why is he accepting a post wall woman?

I feel for you, that has got to be so stressful. We experienced a year and a half of peak lunacy and that was bad enough. In your case, I could not advise you what is best for your family, whether that is to endure where you are, move to a different region in your country, or consider international options.

You guys in Australia are very rich though. Father Kosmas (Orthodox Talks) is there in Sydney, he gives lectures at this Russian Orthodox Church (15 Garfield St Carlton NSW 2218 Australia) occasionally. More on him here. Who knows, if you could phone him directly, you could receive some inspiration, spiritual or otherwise.

My tone has been negative the past couple posts just because these situations were pretty predictable and examples of what not to do, combined with disdain for the people who encourage this and make money off of it. It’s even worse because they have public channels where they broadcast this stuff. Anyway, many have been successful too, you just have to find them and mostly they don’t have YouTube channels.

On Telegram, “The Russian Experience” is the best chat.

I seem to remember there was a forum member who moved to Georgia. This could be another option for those looking to move abroad, but one I am not familiar with.

I can't confirm it but people are commenting in videos related to the Huffman Family that the dad has been killed, with the comments being dated within the last three days. In the comments on a previous video, Deanna (the mom) confirmed that Derek (the dad) was indeed sent to the literal frontlines. I'm really hoping that isn't the case. Saying prayers for this family, especially the children.

There are at least 2 "official" sources that Mr Huffmann freely and voluntarily joined the Russian army and was later "tricked" into going to the front lines, but both these sources are heavily pro Ukrainian, so would be very sceptical. Nothing in the sources about a death though.

Also, Putin knows the strong propaganda value of westerners moving to Russia and potentially serving in the Russian army....I doubt he's gong to do anything to put them in too much danger.

Deanna herself commented below one of her videos that he was sent to the literal frontline. There are definitely pro-Ukrainian accounts/bots writing comments but I'm fearing the worst for this family.

The family moved to Russia not too long ago, yet started running out of money faster than expected. They also experienced very little progress with the residency issue. Driven by these problems the husband eventually signed for the Russian military, even though he's nearly 50 years of age and has only a rudimentary knowledge of the Russian language.

The wife explains that the idea was that by signing up for a year of military service their residency issue could be fast-tracked - as a year of military service translates to Russian citizenship. Signing up would also add a wage to help them in their struggles. The wife repeatedly says that the husband signed up to be a mechanic in the rear, because that's where his skills lie hence it was stipulated as such in the contract.

Unfortunately trusting the Russian government hardly ever turns out well. Instead of being assigned a role as a mechanic he was immediately transported to the military training ground, and after a mere three week training he was sent to the front. The wife also complains that the payments are not on schedule.

To those following the war beyond Kremlin paid talking heads and fanboy channels, none of this is surprising. The Russian military is taking massive casualties and is in need of a constant flow of fresh recruits. Unable to fully mobilize due to economic fallout they are attempting to fill the gaps in any other way. Prisons were emptied. Conscripts are sent to the front even though it's against official policies. There are recruitment campaigns in friendly foreign countries. Illegal Central Asian migrants that are nabbed in raids get threatened with imprisonment and deportation if they don't sign a contract with the military. New arrival foreign students from third world countries get literally loaded into vans at the airport and forced to sign contracts in a language they don't understand. The militaries of North Korea and Laos were invited to send their soldiers into Ukraine, etc.

Unfortunately for this man and his family believing the Kremlin propaganda and being a gullible fool will likely come at the ultimate price. The attrition rate is insane. It's a sad story and should serve as stark warning, propaganda kills.

Her Telegram channel says “this channel is unavailable”. Lord have mercy if these rumors are true.

Edit: she replied to a comment on her YT channel 1 day again on her latest video saying:
@HuffmanTime1 day ago (edited)
No, the phone wasn't taken away. we are advised not to give details or videos for everyone's safety. But I talked to him last night and he's doing fine.

My husband’s grandfather was in the front lines during the first wave of a famous battle. He was one of the few survivors, his mom used to point him out in documentaries. He laid on the ground as blood from his fellow soldiers pooled around him and an enemy soldier put his boot on his helmet. For the rest of his life, he expressed wonder at why he was spared. Thanks to him, I have my husband and our children 🥰

Why some live and some die, only God knows. It’s just sick how people wish death on him or spread comments about him dying on his wife’s channel. Ya it seems kinda dumb to us on the outside, maybe it’s what he felt he had to do for his family, can only wish him success now. Most people, especially in the States, will never get to test themselves to such a degree.
