Rural Living, Prepping and Survival

Interesting couple here (30 year age gap). They lived as hunter/gatherers in a tent for 15 years as far out from civilization as possible. They did 7 years in New Zealand, walked from France to Turkey hiding from authorities (she says in this vid "it's amazing what you can get away with") and now they're in the wilderness of Bulgaria where they bought a primitive stone cottage for 2500 Euros (I suppose he's getting too old to carry on with the lifestyle at this point).

This is a crazy approach to life literally beating the oligarchs at (((their))) own game of, "you will own nothing and be happy." Actually, "yes we will own nothing and be happy and thank you very much." No rent, no mortgage, no taxes, no insurance, no "investments," a completely paperless life free of government control (they currently live on 5000 Euros per year).

Great quote she gives: "I believe possessions possess the possessor."

This guy builds these "cob" tiny homes for under a thousand bucks. Says it takes him about two months. Pretty impressive. He's a bit hippy dippy but just shows what you can do even in highly regulated states like California if you're really serious about getting off grid and living a simple life without a lot of overhead and expenses.

This couple seems happy and dialed in. They built this 800 sq. ft. cob/hay bale hybrid home in Montana for under 20K. This is one of the nicer cob homes I've seen, probably because they had done a previous build on his parents land and learned a lot from their mistakes, so when they got their own land they were ready to go. They also did a lot of planning and drawing out of their ideas before the build. Still, pretty amazing work for "amateurs" and really shows what you can do on a shoestring budget if you're willing to take the time to learn some basic construction skills.
