Resisting The Sirens of The Modern World

Kings 2 9:22

And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, [Is it] peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts [are so] many?

Revelations 2:20

Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Just some quick quotes from Kings and Revelations but I'd suggest reading it all in context.

I had a very weird experience today. I gave into temptation and went along to a "gentleman's club" this afternoon. One of the dancers who went by the name of Ariel came and sat near me talking to me asking me if I wanted a dance. She put her leg over mine and was touching me while she was talking to me. She was very attractive but I wasn't aroused.

I got her out of character and she told me her name was Ava and where she went to school what she was studying, etc. She told me she was raised as an orthodox jew. I was flirting with her and teasing her but I kept it PG. At one point she stared at me and asked me point blank if I was religious! It came out of nowhere. I wasn't wearing anything denoting my faith and my medals were inside my shirt.

I think that these places are infested and they can tell when their enemies are present.

Good Lord, her entire face is fake. She literally painted a fake face on top of her real one. This is papier mache mask shenanigans. Why is this so common? Who finds this attractive? It looks like a sci-fi android's synthetic faux-skin.

"You know what I need in my life? A woman who looks like the bicentennial man before he fully turned into Robin Williams"

Imagine the ungodly mix of hundreds of different chemicals that the (((cosmetics company))) had to use in order to make a product that can so closely resemble human skin.

Women’s makeup has become rather similar to the process of painting Warhammer miniatures. You carefully add layer after layer until you’ve created a simulacrum of a human face. They even paint highlights on the cheeks. Only thing I haven’t seen women do yet, is apply an ink wash.

Well you certainly have more self-control than me. Years ago my friend and I went to this gentleman's club in Ukraine. There were a half-dozen beautiful naked women dancing in a big room. Just the sight of it threw me into a frenzy. I have always struggled with lust, and I could feel my dopamine spike to ridiculous levels, as if I were on drugs. It was not a pleasant feeling, it was like I was losing control. That night neither of us could sleep much because of these sexual images flashing through our minds. I don't know how the male bartender and sheesha guy can work there and not go crazy.

Even the slightest provocation from the sirens needs to be taken seriously. We really need to constantly watch our minds. Because they can jump start you from 0 to 60 just like that. They only have as much power as you give them.

I know today nose rings are a sign of a loose woman, but, it wasn't always this way. In fact, nose rings are Biblical going back 6k+ years:

Genesis 24

47“I asked her, ‘Whose daughter are you?’

“She said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel son of Nahor, whom Milkah bore to him.’

“Then I put the ring in her nose and the bracelets on her arms, 48 and I bowed down and worshiped the Lord. I praised the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who had led me on the right road to get the granddaughter of my master’s brother for his son. 49 Now if you will show kindness and faithfulness to my master, tell me; and if not, tell me, so I may know which way to turn.”

50 Laban and Bethuel answered, “This is from the Lord; we can say nothing to you one way or the other. 51 Here is Rebekah; take her and go, and let her become the wife of your master’s son, as the Lord has directed.”

Earlier in the passage we learn the nose ring is gold. Rebekah gives birth to Esau and Jacob, the patriarchs of all nations:

This is the account of the family line of Abraham’s son Isaac.

Abraham became the father of Isaac, and Isaac was forty years old when he married Rebekah daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan Aram and sister of Laban the Aramean.

Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was childless. The Lord answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant. The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the Lord.

The Lord said to her,

“Two nations are in your womb,
and two peoples from within you will be separated;
one people will be stronger than the other,
and the older will serve the younger.”

When the time came for her to give birth, there were twin boys in her womb. The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau. Isaac was sixty years old when Rebekah gave birth to them.

Jacob in particular is one of the most famous figures of the Bible, who wrestles with God, and sees the divine ladder into heaven.

Both of these men came out of a woman who wore a gold nose ring. It's a shame that nose rings have become associated with degeneracy, once upon a time it was the opposite.

Women who show too much of themselves with no shame like everyone deserves to see that much of them, women with no modesty or self awareness of their words or actions, women who talk dirty to men for attention like it's normal, women who throw themselves at men and collect them as "friends" like toys for their ego and self indulgence, women whose bodies are fake and features are fake, women who try to act like men and have the same interests as men because they think it makes them appealing to men....

Pass on all of them, we've all been fooled before but the more experience I gain the more I realize these are all dead ends when it comes to a woman and they should not be ignored or excused. They are glaring red flags and indicative of a woman that cannot ever be trusted, will never be loyal to you and has a shameful disgusting past, she will only be loyal to herself and what selfishly serves her. But she'll be more than happy to take you along for the ride if you let her.

I've been spending time lately with some very pleasant good women who are the opposite of this and quite frankly I'm disgusted in myself for ever being fooled by women like the ones I described above.

What translation do you have?
The LXX clearly says "earings".

In Genesis 24:47,

The Greek Septuagint [LXX] reads “earrings”.

The Latin Vulgate of 405, translated by Jerome and based on the Hebrew manuscripts available to him, reads “earrings”.

The Syriac Peshitta reads “the rings on her ears”.

The Classical Armenian of the early 5th century reads “earrings on her ears”. (This was perhaps one of the earliest translations done with textual criticism – while the base is the LXX, it doesn’t always agree with the Septuagint in verbatim, such as the height of Goliath in 1 Samuel/1 Kingdoms).

The Samaritan Pentateuch (one of two varying editions) reads “earring upon her face”.

So, I’m inclined to not believe a group of Masoretes and the rendering they chose in the 9th century AD.

I think the most important thing is giving up porn and masturbation. Stop being addicted to those things and you'll get your judgement back.

Once you realise "I don't have to make my life about cooming" then the women who aim themselves at those kinds of men start to seem uglier and uglier.

RSV. Also, Young's Literal Translation also has nose ring:

Gen 24:47 `And I ask her, and say, Whose daughter [art] thou? and she saith, Daughter of Bethuel, son of Nahor, whom Milcah hath borne to him, and I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her hands,

My Bishop has the same translation, and he reads these languages.
