Racial Slurs

I have now started replacing "negro" in my language with afro-descendant. I was with family and they were talking about a place with "negro" on its name (like "Negro River"), and I replaced it with that ("Afro-descendant River"). Some laughs and some weird looks. Thanks, CiK.

I also can't go back to saying Latino after saying latinx ironically so much.

I always liked spear chucker.
I explained "cotton picker" to my father when I was watching Mississippi Burning with him, and he recoiled after hearing it. It was on a pretty heavy scene, to be fair.
Great movie despite the fact we will NEVER see an equivalent of it for the white farmers in South Africa. I don't want to know what Mississippi looks like today outside of "poorest state".

I don't approve of mass-immigration. In fact I think the West should totally close their borders and start repatriation, at least of criminals and those who're not working in a vital industry or paying a substantial amount of tax. However, my concern is that allowing racial slurs to be posted with impunity will ultimately attract more folk whose motivation to post here is inspired by racial animus rather than a sincere belief in the Christian faith.

Is this the sort of language of which Jesus would approve?

We are in an information and language war with an an "anti-racist" enemy. This political correctness agenda that has been running since at least the 80s has to such an extent weaponised language, with a list of censored terms to create total havoc in society. Since we are effectively at war with the censors, it is a lesser evil at this point in history to turn a blind eye to a few racial slurs than to try to bleach everything with political correctness.

It is one of the most useless and dumb things ever to have a middle ground with literal Marxists. I don't have to remind everyone here as to who coined the society destroying term of "racism". I feel like even Trotsky himself would shiver at what people call racist today.

The argument for associating it with a religious forum is something I disagree with. I have to say, and I seriously hope you guys follow this, no one here would go far on judging someone for their color, or skin. "I have a black friend" and all that, but unironically. If rich people from big cities did not live in ethnic enclaves, they would put KKK leaders from Mississippi in tears. I live in Brazil of all places, so I feel like I have a say on this.

If it was about color, then take a look at African albinos and tell me those guys are part of the "master race". If it was about the shape of their faces and all that, then we would have debates here on whether Arabs, Italians, Berbers, Greeks, etc. are white or not, which would ruin this site instantly. I also type the word that sparked this controversy while referring to some whites, mostly out of muscle memory, but also because of nog behavior, or wigger behavior. The post that sparked this mentions Somalis, but I'm sure there are a few good Somalis. I used to lurk somalispot, a Somali forum, out of curiosity for what African forums were like, and most of the posters were just autists who wouldn't hurt a fly or couldn't even talk to women. Not the majority, probably, but, all judgement should be based on Christian morality.

It is just a word. The sort of language Jesus would approve, as OP puts it, would undoubtedly change over the years with their connotations. Look at a few words in the Bible, like "hypocrites", or "Synagogue of Satan", and tell me these wouldn't change if the left tacked on to them. I would put the you know what word at the same tier as faggot, since it is also a choice to act like a you know what.
The difference is that America, and a lot of the West, have created an idol of the individuals from sub-Saharan Africa, so every single blasphemy or slur you can think of it pales in comparison to black in Spanish or ni-

N i g g e r - is an American English word and the strong taboo about using it is linked to the past slavery era.

If you did not learn English in America nor live there, or study American history in high school, you only learn about this word through exported films and music and you are not conditioned in the same way to avoid saying it.

curry munchers for Indians

cheese eating surrender monkeys for the French.

My entire time on RVF and here I never dropped a "racial slur" until @Papist felt the need to accuse us all with this provocative thread.

I didn't claim you had used a racial slur? 🤔

I found an example of one posted on the forum, which I linked to. The term itself has disappeared from the post, because the moderators have (IMHO, quite correctly) filtered it.

I don't think highlighting inappropriate or anti-social behaviour is 'provocative'. This is a Christian forum, which could potentially be viewed by thousands of people with an interest in our faith. That makes us ambassadors of Christianity and I don't think using racial slurs, or for that matter profanity, is the sort of image we should project.

I'm not sure how many people will be ok with all the other red-pills on here and yet stand firm in being completely against light-hearted racial slurs for the rest of their time here, though I do understand that slurs are better for proper social contexts and it's not the primary purpose of this forum to be an accurate social outlet. It should be clear that someone does not pass a stereotype (which are normally true statistically) onto the individual, especially without Christian love and understanding for what talents/grace a person was given by those around them. And racial slurs shouldn't imply that someone does not have Christian understanding. For most people here I don't think it implies that at all.

The problem I see with slurs being widespread on the forum would be feds hijacking light-hearted humor and taking it far beyond what any of us would intend and misinterpretation because this forum isn't a platform which completely accurately captures social meanings.

Example right here from Indian rap artist Lil Blackout

For context, I will post the content of the original comment I was referring to. People can then decide whether it was intended as light-hearted:

Found this relevant. According to women, it’s more important to allow lowlife [scholars] into our countries as opposed to being allowed to say “I don’t wanna live around these primitive lowlifes, they ruin our country.”

'Scholars' was not the original word used, but is the result of the forum's automatic sensor.

I feel stadtaffe's post was kind of rude, but you kind of dug your own grave here. Most of the thread was ghosted by its OP (You) until now, which is barely ever a good thing.

The arguments were made, the counterarguments were kind of made, so I'd suggest mods to create some kind of poll or final decision on this. Thread goes nowhere outside of a few memes. Bada bing, bada coon.

Let me disregard this by stating that the context itself was not wrong. I have already stated my views of what is a scholastic person, based on many university years on the glorious state university of the city of Lagos, Nigeria.

If he said "lowlife black", this thread would not have been made at all. Do you see a problem in this? We all know the Somalis he talked about are just scholars looking for education in the prestigious but hard working universities of Sweden, and not to do crime and abuse welfare, so what is the problem in this?

I don't want to make this personal, as the debate would have been made eventually, but I find it ironic how you had a Stonetoss profile picture of a British cop restricting speech on the last forum, then one 6 letter word makes you support censorship.
