LOL, maybe so. TBH, there isn't a day that goes by that I am not thankful I don't have children. If I were to win the lottery and become extremely wealthy, I would move out of the USA and have kids. But working a middle class job, which I will not have to work much longer, I still doubt I would want to have kids in the USA. It is just not a good country to raise a family and the future, due to legal immigration under Trump, looks beyond dismal. Imagine a country with the worst of Africa, the worst of India, and the worst of Central America, occupying buildings that were built with the great creation and love of European settlers.
Your thinking seems to see only one side of the spectrum. Studying books on human psychology and cognitive distortions would help. Or read the short saying from Saint Paisios about the bee and the fly.
I do agree with many of your points, like:
The amount of marriageable women has decreased.
The standard of living in the US has decreased.
Degeneracy has increased.
The environment for raising children is more difficult today than when we had stronger nuclear families in religious communities.
Inflation, cost of living etc.
Massive illegal and legal immigration forcing our cultural values to be diluted and destroying the system and attacking our wages.
I don’t think anyone with their eyes open who’s a realist would disagree with you.
But despite all this, I’m not doom and gloom and the posters with opposite viewpoints are correct.
We live an environment that’s forced upon us, but we have a strong influence on what we can control. You should never underestimate your power. There’s nothing stopping you choosing to interact and living or moving to an environment you’d like and prosper in. Don’t like the type of women around? Only frequent Christian communities. Marriages around you seem like they suck? Look at the good ones, because they exist. Don’t think you can afford kids? Look at the immigrant family with no education with 10.
Your mind, your viewpoint, and your actions have a big influence on your life. Or you can sit around and do nothing and let your mind control you. There’s always that choice. Your mind will seek a solution, but you have to let it.
