They could've made it without the porn thing and it would've been so much better. If it was written in the 80's the screenwriters would've found a way to make it tasteful without losing the hook. If it weren't for Elisha there would be no redeeming features.

Synthwave has been the most surprising, persistent and prolific revival music genre I remember. It's really extraordinary come to think of it. It came out back in 2007/2008 and is still here today without a drop in quality. It was meant for those who remembered 80's but lasted so long an entire new generation grew up with it. And the best part is that Synthwave is a grassroots movement that came out entirely of underground indie creators. Furthermore it didn't have the legacy distribution engine behind it. Commerce was done individually over the internet. The widespread 'piracy' and free Youtube streaming didn't manage to hurt it as we were led to believe by the establishment in the previous decades. It's everything the fake, corporate music industry isn't and proved just how obsolete that structure is. Money men haven't managed to subvert it because those musicians who started Synthwave are still making new music today and the fanbase still recognizes them as true to the movement and seeks them out. Incredible. This is already bigger and longer lasting than Grunge was. Heck, it lasts longer than the original in 80's did.
