The Orthodox priest was a good guy otherwise. I don’t know why they reveal these details. I wouldn’t want them to reveal certain things about me, so it makes me cautious from the get go.

Simple answer: Don't do confession with that Priest. There are many Orthodox Priests to choose as your spiritual father.
