A few years back, I saw a cracking quote from the Austrian Corporal along these lines, talking about how big business was only interested in exploiting you, and politicians had no interest in you until an election was coming up. I didn't bother saving it, as I thought I'd see it quoted again and again. Sadly, I haven't seen it since.
