Thank you for responding, I will look over that thread in the pursuit of truth on this topic. I am curious about the source of that last graph on measured CO2 over the past hundreds of thousands of years, I wonder how they measured that? It seems very sure of its data. I will head on over there.

Speaking from a position of ignorance and speculation, but it seems like Earth is more equipped with mechanisms to achieve a sort of equilibrium than a planet like Venus. It’s covered in vegetation that thrives on and converts the carbon dioxide to oxygen. It also has the continual cycle of evaporation, condensation and precipitation. From what I recall, cloud formation has more impact on Earth’s temperature than carbon dioxide. There was a guy, Richard Lindzen of MIT, who explained it well.

I believe in being faithful custodians of God’s creation but I don’t think driving ICE cars or getting power from coal is causing long term damage to the resilient home God created for us. By that same token, I certainly don’t think it’s ok to abuse the Earth.

The theory makes a certain sense, but in fact, the atmosphere and climate are a lot more complicated than that. Most of the models by scientists studying the climate are made up using cherry picked data, or straight out falsified data that was tweaked to make the numbers fit. In many cases, they had a large data set and wrote some custom code to crunch the numbers and produce a result. Again, this code was tweaked to produce the desired results.

None of these researchers publishes their data set or code. In some well known cases, the data was purposely deleted to prevent anyone else seeing where the published conclusions came from. Historical climate data such as core samples show that the climate has varied far more over geologic periods of time than the chances climate activists are currently touting.

The current climate change theories have no scientific rigor.
 
Here's the thing....I'm an outdoorsmen, a conservationist, a nature and animal lover. Are we trashing the earth yes absolutely we are without a doubt. Does any of the bullshit they plop on us to try and change it actually do anything to fix it....hell no.

We need to be more respectful of Gods earth that's the only thing that will help, the rest nature will adapt and fix itself. Sanctioning the hell out of our businesses hurting ourselves just so they can pollute harder somewhere else and spending endless tax money on worthless programs just to virtue signal is even worse.

I had that thought: I want to see the code they use for the models. If it isn't opensource then it's not very good, is it? Anyway, I've never "believed" in climate change, I just haven't studied any of the science and so wish to come at it from a newborn babe sort of position. Not being able to see the code and data sets is concerning, to say the least.
