Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Thread

Art I believe is an expression of the soul. To produce good art, you'd need an AI with a soul. Of course that is possible, nothing is impossible with God.
I wanted to say something similar. We're physical beings but we put our soul into everything we do to a smaller or larger degree. AI takes bits of that from the Internet and from the database it had been fed, and reproduces it- reshuffles those man made digital artifacts to be palatable to our senses. It can be proven mathematically whether something is or isn't music. Whoever programmed the AI system put his heart and soul into that effort, so it's still an extension of his persona.

Many professional and commercially successful songwriters, very often Jews, crank out soul lacking hits non stop, Carole King (Koenig) is one I can think of. Like the proverbial starving artist, Christian authors create music with soul much more often, you can hear and feel it.

Send me a link. I don't think I've seen it.

So if the future IA brains (data centers) are located in space orbit and not in vast energy eating warehouses scattered around the US and World, I guess this means that if AI eventually has total oversight of the digital universe, humans have zero ability to pull the plug or shut down the AI brain going forward? Kinda scary. But for the “pros”, it saves our energy and water requirements here on Earth and also would free up acreage for something more beneficial.

Bad luck, six-figure earners: Elon Musk warns that money will disappear in the future as AI makes work (and salaries) irrelevant

In a future workforce dominated by artificial intelligence and robotics, Musk says salaries will become nonexistent, and therefore, cash will fade into irrelevance.

“I think money disappears as a concept, honestly,” the SpaceX and Tesla founder said

“It’s kind of strange, but in a future where anyone can have anything, you no longer need money as a database for labor allocation. If AI and robotics are big enough to satisfy all human needs, then money is no longer necessary. Its relevance declines dramatically.”

Essentially, if robots can build houses, grow food, manufacture goods, and even provide services like health care and education at a near-zero cost then wages stop being the mechanism that determines who gets what.

“In less than 20 years—but maybe even as little as 10 or 15 years—the advancements in AI and robotics will bring us to the point where working is optional,” Musk said. ....work will effectively become "like a hobby".

So does the whole world or just US doesn’t have to work? Does everyone get at least a 2 week trip anywhere in the world all expenses paid or how will that work out? Everyone get served 5 star Michelin level healthy meals from our AI robots? Can everyone in the world have unlimited number of children like Elon? How will our housing repair costs be covered, like when we need to repair a foundation or a tree crashes thru a roof. Student loan, mortgage, auto and credit card debts wiped clean? People with businesses can just close up shop? Just so many questions, I’ve barely touched 1% I’m sure. Devil is in the details obviously and they aren’t addressing any of the specific solutions. Inequalities will cause a lot of discord for sure.

Why does any single person believe a word that man says?
It's totally beyond me. Elon Musk is one of the biggest charlatans of all time. Tesla's current P/E ratio is 323, which is a number so mindbogglingly absurd it defies belief, and which is enabled only by the endless stream of hot air Musk spouts about the company's future products, like fully self-driving cars and autonomous, AI-powered humanoid robots. The fact that he's been saying that FSD is "just around the corner" for literally the past decade never seems to faze the credulous Tesla investors, nor do the company's increasingly terrible sales numbers. Then there was also that incident where Musk seriously bragged about being one of the top Diablo 3 players in the world (which is itself a totally bizarre flex for a guy who is supposedly running multiple huge companies, as such a feat would require playing the game for at least 10-12 hours a day) only to be exposed while streaming as a total newb.

The guy is just completely full of shit on every level.

The man had absolutely remarkable insight. Listening to this you can't tell he doesn't have a much deeper understanding of what was/is manifesting in the world. He's not a materialist.
