Iran-Israeli Conflict Thread

I have been completely checked out of the news for so long, I didn't even know Israel and Iran were fighting until today.

Honestly, this is nothing new. Arabs and jews fighting? Yawn.

Wake me up if a full scale conventional war breaks out. Otherwise, I'll assume this doesn't concern me and/or won't amount to anything important.

I’m going to be honest, I’m going on a deep dive into Iran. Khomeni and Khamanei might be some of the coolest enemies America ever had. These aren’t two bit military men with goons prancing around in fatigues. That’s Americas usual enemy - think Gaddafi, Castro, Hussein etc. The Ayatollahs are men of serious culture. Sure they’re Muslim, but they’re into art, poetry, philosophy. These are men of culture, not arms. And they’re ascetics. I think that makes them even more scary and more likely to stare down the West.
 
Im following this thread everyday and I observed, that Im getting a dopamin rush, when I see Iran sending rockets into Tel Aviv. I prayed two days ago and in my prayers I said I get happy with this situation and I know I shouldnt be. So I prayed that they will find peace but in my heart, Im not feeling it. Of course God knows. How you guys mental mindset is about all of this?

I'm feeling that as well. Been watching what's happened to Gaza and I don't want that to happen to anyone. This war, like all the others I've seen, is more suffering. The only winner here is Satan.

You're not wrong about this. If we find that we are following any worldly events with an unhealthy focus or relish then its a sure sign that we have lost vigilance and have opened ourselves up to distractions which will be to the deteriment of our prayer life. It's like getting totally caught up in an election cycle to the detriment of your prayer life and then making the excuse that you're rooting for the more Christian candidate. Our prayer is permeated with recollections of all the youtube videos we watched in which our favoured side owned the opposition. Our first thought on waking is to catch up on the latest events. This is all the more acute when war in question because there we risk not just being distracted but we also risk savouring events that involve the suffering of others - in some cases literally unimaginable suffering that would break most of us. We risk following all the events in a detached manner without the associated compassion that should follow based on that suffering. We find ourselves more concerned with looking at the front lines changing then we are we with the deaths and suffering of those on those front lines. We fall into pride and judgement if we tell ourselves that certain people are suffering justly and we are spared of such suffering because of some virtue on our part. We place our hope in various battlefield events and not in God. Anyone who is honest with themselves and has even a slight level of introspection will identify these tendencies. The easy thing to do is to say that we are backing the right side but there's no vigilance in that, only self-justification. I have my favoured belligerents in all of the conflicts that are currently raging but we should constantly be struggling in an ascetic manner to not allow the aforementioned passions to manifest in us.

Even if there's something to theory about Israel firing nukes all over the world as a last option, nothing in the video embedded in the Tweet posted by this guy that actually proves the theory. The two sources he put into the video to give it a bit more credibility (the Samson Option book from that American Jewish author and the screencap of the article about Israel being hacked) don't mention anything about it. He was hoping that people will watch the video and think "well the video mentioned there's documents that was hacked from Israeli intelligence that supposedly has a list of cities to be nuked as a last resort (show screencaps of documents with some Hebrew on it) and then there was a screenshot of an article about Israeli intelligence hacked so this article must be talking about these documents were acquired from the hack" without actually looking for the article show and seeing for themselves that there's nothing about nukes in it.

Same with showing the cover of that Samson Option book. He knew most people wouldn't actually bother to find out what's in the book and just assume the book talks about secret Israeli plans to nuke the world.

This just illustrates what I was saying about these sort of accounts being engagement chasers that won't intellectual sloppiness get in the way of getting the clicks and giving people what they want to hear. Even if the whole theory about Israel planning to nuke the world was true, this guy isn't setting himself up as any sort of serious commentator by presenting his argument in the fashion he has with sources that don't actually support what he is saying.

You're not going to find the targeting of western cities in the Seymour Hirsch book on the Sampson Option for the same reasons you're not going to find any mention from Hirsch about Israel having blown up 3 WTC towers on 9/11. I haven't read Hirsch's version of the Sampson Option, but I would guess it is much more likely to be a gatekeeping effort than the full story.

The same people that orchestrated the death of thousands of Americans in the most elaborate, bold false flag operation of all time are perfectly capable of far bigger evil plans.
 
Israel might be nervous the Persians already have nukes and making theirs useless (old tech).

But then again I get the "nukes are fake" argument on jewtube.

Sounds like Iran is lighting up Israel again right now. Those "precision" strikes on Iran didn't stop the days of attacks afterwards. Seems they did hit decoys and or easy targets and Putin again was telling the truth that we can't reach most their top equipment.
