Iran-Israeli Conflict Thread

USAF continues to degrade and destroy Iranian military sites near the Southern shoreline and Strait of Hormun in preparation of a move on one or more of the Persian Gulf islets combined with a naval escorting mission. US is striking anti-ship batteries dug in the mountainous Makran Coast line using novel bunkerbuster ordnance, and is constructively taking out Iranian (commercial) and port assets, today at Bandar Lengeh 16 vessels were sunk. USAF operates at low level over the southern port cities, F/18s are performing WW2 era strafing runs

Pentagon confirmation that the pilot suffered shrapnel wounds and the F-35 made a 'hard landing' and will will be out of service for a while.

Most likely, the F-35 crashed in Saudi near the coast, the pilot was able to fly his damaged jet back across the Gulf and bailed out. The Chinook circling over that region was likely looking for the pilot and/or the crashed jet in that sparsely populated desert.

"In the hours following the incident, a US Army MH-47G Chinook, registration 19-02916, was tracked on FlightRadar24 flying an extensive series of tight circling patterns over the eastern Saudi Arabian region near Al Jubayl. The flight pattern is consistent with Combat Search and Rescue operations: the kind of search profile you fly when you are looking for a downed aircraft or a pilot on the ground.

The IRGC claims the shoot-down occurred at AM Iran time. The Chinook's search activity and the timeline raise questions about whether the F-35 reached a base at all, or whether it came down somewhere over Saudi territory.

CENTCOM says it landed safely. A Chinook was circling the Saudi desert in a CSAR pattern.

One of those things may not be true."

"SAMbush" tactics brought that plane down, I think the missile was guided by the drone filming the F-35, tracking it passively through its infrared signature. The pilot didn't see the missile coming, didn't attempt any evasive maneuvers or countermeasures, he wasn't lit up by any radar, and didn't use his, as customary with stealth jets that don't want to reveal their position.

The missile is a relatively small one that can be fitted in 4-packs on the flatbed of a small truck. Needless to say, this is a pretty smart solution for the Iranians, mostly homegrown, it relies on that tandem setup being in place in areas where the Iranians anticipate US/Israeli flight paths.

More on the psyop:

The´ve released a video of Ben Gvir handing out pizzas.

Comments on Youtube say the video is 7 months old.

Another poster says the son of Netanyahu didnt post for 7 days for mourning:

The rumor was Netanyahu his brother and Ben Gvir were killed. Who knows. Until you see dancing nurses. Anything is possible. TRUST THE PLAN.

Iranians say they will target any US military wherever they are. Tourism resorts, anywhere. Stay safe.

NATO countries have evacuated all staff from Iraq.

Just thinking about this. If Netanyahu is dead, nothing has changed. Psychopaths still running the country and killing civilians, and the same policies are in place.

But if he is dead, that means some team put together a video of him doing a press conference. And the message from that video was approved by another group of people. And the message they came up with and approved is that Genghis Kahn is a greater man than Jesus Christ, and that evil will defeat good. And this is a level of evil/psychopathic behavior, that I don't think any of us can relate to. This was not an off the cuff, foot in the mouth comment by one guy, this was an entire project build and approved by a team of psychopaths. Damn.

An even scarier thought is that they can launch nukes and blame it on Satanyahoo who's dead.

Article by John Konrad about the Strait of Hormuz. Interesting thesis on second and third order effects of letting Europe endure higher energy prices.

US LNG is making a fortune, revenues will be even higher than Russia's gas exports for the next 2+ years due to the Qatar bombing.

Interesting theory. But I doubt European politicians will be in a hurry to open the strait. A famine would be great for current EU politicians, cause many people would perish and could easily be replaced by immigrants.

And, more importantly, they could use it as an example of what conservative, right wing politicians (Trump) do and why they should be avoided at all costs.

As the article says, the republicans probably won't get re-elected and that left leaning sentiment would be shared by Europeans too. It would even give the EU the support it needs to overthrow Orban and Polish politicians. A major disaster for Euros.

This is a good article and offers a perspective that a lot of the noise seems to be lacking focus on. But maybe that's the point of the noise to begin with. The economics of this seem to be pointed at bringing Europe down to size (or reality?) which means Russia also benefits. Putin knew to start pumping oil a few days after he and Trump met in Alaska and now Russia stands to reap a reward economically from all of this with U.S. sanctions being eased. While the internet is ablaze with the heat of what gets hit where, who's living and who's dead, among other things, some kind of economic shift is apparently going on. I'm no expert by any means, but I've had a hunch that there's way more to this than just greater Israel, or other theories (which may have some truth to them as well).

A few thousands troops isn’t going to do anything. If USA and Israel want to send troops into Iran they will have to shed at least half a million soldiers to a achieve anything.

Any major ground offensive would have to be planned around the lessons from the Ukraine war, or else it would be doomed to fail, or at the very least incur a large number of casualties. You can't for example have troop concentrations in staging grounds or upon landing, too vulnerable to getting droned or missiled.

The problem is that there isn't the kind of strategic depth there was in the last major ground wars of Iraq, the troops would be vulnerable on the other side of the Gulf from Iran, or in boats or transport planes over the Gulf.
