I think we're just doing two different things here, I'm analyzing the situation for what it actually is and you're analyzing it for what you think it should be.

Yes, Grok confirmed he has asked for a ceasefire, that is why I posted it. If he has asked for a ceasefire, that is a huge defeat. I only posted it because Grok confirmed it to be true. Maybe Grok has it wrong.

MSM outlets also starting to report on the death of the Ayatollah though keep in mind, it's always "according to Israeli sources"
Of course they're saying he's alive. A dead Khamenei would greatly dent the IR's standing+ status and sap its forces' morale. It would also most probably lead to people hitting the streets yet again.
The rumors on his death are getting louder. Judging on US and Israeli technological and intelligence game, track record and past messaging I'd say he's gone. This would coincide with the news reports on other big wigs croaking, the initial decapitation strike was successful yet again and many of the IRGC and political leadership were eliminated in the initial strike. Most likely the attack was kept on the shelf until Khamenei was pinpointed after which his bunker residency was targeted with heavy bunkerbusting ammunitions
This may also explain the generally tepid missile response.
