If this is the case, igniting the US's fall from empire, then the US is going to be in a multi-polar world. And that world will depend on allies and relationships.

Right now Trump isn't even bothering to tell them about starting a large war in the MIddle East, causing huge supply and energy crises.

Other than being leveraged, what is the coherent rationale behind this??

How many times have they been really tested? How many other options are out there and other, much more serious nations, to purchase military equipment from. Not nations that import third world "engineers" but nations that promote their own 140 IQ people to build much better equipment.

Your anti-American black pill consumption is clouding a factual assessment that a) F-35 is combat-proven in this theatre b) stealth /= invisibility and also /= impenetrability, c) that it took what looks to be a direct hit from a projectile larger than a MANPAD yet still managed to return to a friendly airfield says a lot about the survivability of the airframe.

Fact is, America is the only nation to have fielded combat-coded 5th generation platforms of any variety in combat, three of them as a matter of fact, all of which have operated in sorties with high success and generation rates.
