Also why is there so much rubber left on that tyre? Manufacturer scam or some unknown truck tyre (to me) where this is common practise.

Also why is there so much rubber left on that tyre? Manufacturer scam or some unknown truck tyre (to me) where this is common practise.
Probably uneven wear because of misalignment of the suspension, but there is still one - three twelfths of an inch of rubber when a tire is considered worn out and unsafe, which leaves enough for this scam.
