Chrome is a web browser that uses a lot of resources (RAM).
I have been having Chrome freeze up lately, and have noticed it uses an insane amount of memory, and for some reason has dozens of threads running when I have only a few tabs open.
Apparently this is common.
Chrome is full of spyware that's why, don't use it.
* OT, if anyone knows how to get rid of the insane CPU throttling on my laptop please let me know.
Yeah, Brave Browser is much better, it was made by a Christian I think.
Vivaldi is also a good one.
Both have built in adblockers and anti-tracking.
Also, I believe RAM prices are jumping.

No kidding. I switched to Edge because Chrome has a memory leak of some kind.
Edge is Chrome-based. These days most are. You have Firefox as alternative.
I use Safari since I’m on a Mac.
Oh wow I always wondered why my computers at the warehouse acted like they were going to explode anytime I had to open a bunch of tabs with chrome to edit multiple things. I always thought it was just my computers I upgraded my comps not too long ago specifically for that reason but of course it didn't fix it. It really slows down production when I'm doing multiple things....

Just joking. Hit Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager. From there you can switch or restart programs.
