I would say that Japan was conquered by America, which was second hand European at the time. They are still occupied and controlled by America.
Likewise I'd say South Korea is occupied and controlled by America, dating back to when America still self identified as a white country of European heritage.
North Korea and Thailand are only true holdouts!
Edit: If you limit European to strictly nations whose governments are seated in Europe, the map is accurate. However, I'd count the US as effectively part of European civilization.
Its not 100% accurate this map, Ethiopia was the only African country not colonized so not sure why they have it marked out in Green, it was almost colonized by another African country Erithea and the Ottoman empire but since they were Christian they called on Christian Portugal to help them against the Muslim invaders and together they fought them off.
