Once again, the Orthodox Church (like every other one) completely misses the core problem about women, their hypergamy, obsession with getting attention, and lack of wifely and motherly values. AND once again, men are put to blame for the bad behavior of women, while women are not held to any level of personal accountability. In this video, it is stated that all women are beautiful and like amazing little flowers, and that men should respect them, period. This is a serious problem and the the Church is totally off mark here. The root cause of the problem needs to be addressed and not just the symptoms.

Which is why most dating advice from priests (especially older ones) is completely useless. Yes they are well versed in scripture and know much more than me, but their experience in the modern dating environment is nonexistent. Most are stuck in the 1960s mindset, where they simply assume by showing up to church and being a ‘good’ man, you will find a spouse.

I had a Catholic priest at my former church tell me this. That all I need to do is keep praying and God will find me a spouse. I almost burst out laughing during confession, but I didn’t want to insult the man or God for that matter.

Out of touch is an understatement.
