Seems like the marital arts thread doesn't exist anymore so I thought this was interesting regardless.

What about @Nevsky? Oh wait, nevermind, it looks like he went dark and entered the "monastery" at the same time as Samseau.
It's hard looking for other explanations because quite frankly there are non, and no amount of ridiculing of the messenger(s) is going to change that.

It was clear as day from the start that 'Nevsky' was either a sockpuppet account or something more sinister. This account legitimately churned out 15-20 likes per minute (receipts are in my screenshot folder) smeared out over different threads. An omnipotent one man bot army that clearly operated with the aim of tilting general opinion through boosting/ throttling likes on posts+ membership rankings.

Like said before, one can look for other plausible explanations but quite frankly there are none. Good riddance to Nevsky though, this zero-contribution sockpuppet account should have been banned years ago already.

I disagree. He is a lurker who doesn't feel like posting much, but enjoys clicking tbe like button. He said as much, and it's perfectly understandable.

He obviously had good taste, since he liked many of my posts.

Thank you for your trouble.

It looks like 40,000 characters is roughly 15 word pages with spaces, so I'll have to split it over two posts if my Spiritual Director gives me the go ahead.

You're not planning on copy/pasting some pamphlet, are You? Cause if You are, I would advise against it.
You're new to the forum, so maybe don't post 15 pages of text wall right of the bat. Take look around, engage in conversation, get to know people and get them to know You. And if You believe You have a message to deliver, use Your own words.

This is a sign of God working miracles in this forum. In the past, we had MusicForThePiano (coincidentally also a Catholic member) posting thought-provoking essays. In his absence, God has now sent another new member to help strengthen the forum’s intellectual life.

I have been writing something to post on spiritual matters in my downtime. Such things take time, contemplative prayer and patient inquiry to resolve any seemingly-initial conflict between Faith and Reason. It should be ready later this week.
He has been working on this post since early September, putting his best effort into the writing. Notice that instead of relying solely on intellect, he has also made the most of his available time, engaging in contemplative prayer and patient inquiry to prevent any conflict between faith and reason. I believe original thinkers like him deserve support.

Good general advice, but just from posting style it's pretty clear to me that this new member was a highly respected and repped prolific RVF 1.0 & 2.0 poster for many years. Looking forward to the text wall.

Music was banned because much of his "thought-provoking essays" (as You called them) were plagiarized, not for their length.

You've read something completely different from what I wrote. It's about pacing - finding synergy with the forum before committing oneself to write essays, otherwise all the effort may go in vain if there's no rapport between the community and the poster.
