Elon Musk Thread

This I don’t even understand, the people that are buying Teslas aren’t going to be 100% conservatives or agree with anything about Elon Musk. So keying random Teslas, it’s just committing a crime, in most cases from one liberal against another. Most of the places that have charging stations are going to be cities which tend to be blue.

Well, I’m glad police are actually looking into it, what would they even do? I’m guessing keying someone’s car is some sort of minor misdemeanor?
If it does $1000s in damage as is typical, that's a felony.

It's not difficult to do that much damage. Body shops are insanely expensive. I went in for a quote to fix some fairly minor scratches and a couple small dents. I was told $7k, which was almost the value of my car. It's because the insurance companies are paying most of the time, not private individuals out of pocket.

Decided to do repairs on my own. It still doesn't look great but from a distance it looks alright. One of the dents was easy to get out with a $10 suction tool from Amazon, the other I'll just live with.

OK, which suction tool did you use? Do you have a link to the Amazon product?

The exact product is discounted. But it was something like this. Pour a kettle of boiling water on the dent first, then use both of the devices to pull at once. It may take a few tries.

What do you drive AG? Newer car you're trying to preserve for potential resale value or older care you're just trying to keep well functioning and presentable?

And depending on the location of the dent, a deflated and reinflated football or basketball can do wonders.

I did something similar on a dent in one of my doors. I pulled the interior door skin off, deflated a football, and slowly alternated between deflating and inflating it from behind the dent. It's important to relocate the football during the process, and don't be in a hurry. The process takes some time. I recommend starting from the outer edges of the dent (and sort of "sneak up on it") instead of trying to go full out at the center of the dent. The metal is distorted from the impact point outward, so working in reverse and starting from the outer edges will produce the best results. For my vehicle, I had a roughly 1" deep cavity by 8" in diameter (created by a car bumping into the door). After about an hour and a half later, it's a couple of neighboring 1/4" deep by 2" in diameter dents (that look more like a shopping cart ran into it).

Like Analyst_green alluded to, it's not perfect but it looks much better than it did.

It's an economical older car that I'm just trying to keep presentable. Mechanically it's in excellent condition, and I don't care too much about the cosmetic issues.

Well if you don't care that's good, im an idiot I fall for the car scam but to just think of a car as a tool is a very good thing.

If you did care I was going to suggest going to Maaco for paint or body work. Maaco has a stigma attached to it but each one is independently owned, if you can find a good one they do work really dirt cheap because all their pricing is uniform. We have a bunch around me and they all have terrible reviews but there is one that has great reviews and I took a chance on them with an old Land Cruiser. It cost probably 20% of another shop and when it was done I posted a bunch of pictures on a Land Cruiser forum of the results and a dozen other guys shipped their rigs down to them for work.

Of course I didn't watch it. It's nearly an hour long.

If you want me to watch it, give me a description of the content. Keep it to 20 words or less please.

It's also not like Elon hasn't tackled the Jewish question either.

I'm just reposting this, lets hope it hints at something more.

Afterall, Elon seems to get on quite well with Milei, even though they both play nice with tiny hat man.
