I can understand the battery packs, but why would it be on its 14th motor? That's less than 100K miles per motor.
Ok, turns out the Model S represents about half the motor failures while being only about 6% of Teslas overall.
That's it.
All marketing aside, all hypes, narratives, commercials, status.
You just want something that works, where you don't care on a scratch, something that drives when you leave it for a month, you can move stuff, go on a vacation, be kind of safe, something i can repair myself.
It's real funny how impactful marketing is. How cars have become something else in the mind, than what it is in reality.
Like the guy with the F150, could be me.
And then to think 90% of these things are less than 5 years old.
Looking at batteries I left in a device for 10 years in a half humid condition. Corrosion. Leaking batteries. Can't imagine this will become better when time continues. Fire and filthy garbage.

More trouble in EV land. Mass firings at Tesla. Started with their marketing team, and has now spread to their "supercharger network" department. They're also backing out of land leases for supercharger locations. Smaller EV companies going under left and right.
And again. Some are estimating that 20% of their employees will be laid off.
Cybertruck is out. Saw one on the road yesterday. Here's a test of it's usefulness as a truck (towing) against a Ram 2500 Cummins:

I haven't seen it mentioned in this thread, but I have seen clips/videos about people measuring the unhealthy levels of electromagnetic radiation inside an operating Tesla. Measured at being equivalent to standing 1 or 2' in front of a running microwave, except for long periods of time.
Has anyone heard or seen information to that effect?
