El Salvador and Nayib Bukele Thread

Yeah, I think largely the new world Spanish and mestizo order didn't do this like the Europeans did over generations. That will persist to a worse degree given the race differences, especially if you have periods of population boom.
I worked in a few Central American countries over the years, mainly the most violent and impoverished ones, where life really is pretty miserable for most people. When I was new I remember a few expats opining that Mesoamerican society works best as a military dictatorship. Basically a strong chief or king who rules with an iron fist and keeps order, dealing out harsh punishments when necessary with little judicial process. Essentially what Bukele is doing now and what the Hondurans and Guatemalans I've talked to would also like to see in their countries. They absolutely hate gangster scum of the type that Bukele is locking up and have no patience for talk of their "human rights" and such.

As one expat I talked to when I was new in Central America philosophized "free and fair democratic elections ruined this place." I wasn't very "red pilled" at the time so this seemed pretty shocking and "racist" but over a decade later, it makes sense to me now. Assuming that Honduras and El Salvador should ape US or UK representative democracy makes about as much sense as assuming that Anglo-Saxon countries should model their system after the Chinese Communist Party.

Yes, these things pretty much prove our point.

My guess is that like all things people and especially euro and women, since that's the part of the group that is the wealthiest and can think the least with regard to "not everyone is like you, so stop thinking they are", they project what seems to be possible (theoretically) on all other places, people, and cultures. Of course, a modern movement of egalitarian thought just solidified this on top of the kumbaya/wealth mindset. Some people call it "guilt" but in reality, it's just laziness - no desire to think or study history to understand why certain people, places and civilizations have certain things, and why others don't.

In Honduras at the very least, the "free and fair" democratically-elected government of Zelaya was overthrown by the Obama/Clinton government, and now there might be another coup under way.

Today, the first 238 members of the Venezuelan criminal organization, Tren de Aragua, arrived in our country. They were immediately transferred to CECOT, the Terrorism Confinement Center, for a period of one year (renewable).

The United States will pay a very low fee for them, but a high one for us.

Over time, these actions, combined with the production already being generated by more than 40,000 inmates engaged in various workshops and labor under the Zero Idleness program, will help make our prison system self-sustainable. As of today, it costs $200 million per year.

On this occasion, the U.S. has also sent us 23 MS-13 members wanted by Salvadoran justice, including two ringleaders. One of them is a member of the criminal organization’s highest structure.

This will help us finalize intelligence gathering and go after the last remnants of MS-13, including its former and new members, money, weapons, drugs, hideouts, collaborators, and sponsors.

As always, we continue advancing in the fight against organized crime. But this time, we are also helping our allies, making our prison system self-sustainable, and obtaining vital intelligence to make our country an even safer place. All in a single action.

May God bless El Salvador, and may God bless the United States.

I don't really get the point of this prison. If they are never going to be released why not execute these people and save the taxpayer some money?
I think because these gang members didnt really have a trial in court, they brand themselves with tatoos and the tatoos show how many oeople they have killed or what crims they have comitted, the president just arrested all these guys and everyone who was suspected of being a gangster, maybe some of these guys were already in the old prison and maybe faced a court trial so I dont think they can legally execute them but maybe going forward they will. Eventually these men will die and Im sure this prison will be quite empty in a generation.

Plus they are all working in prison as well. There are videos floating around on X with rows and rows of these guys at sewing machines just going to town.

I've had multiple people from various parts of Central America tell me that the police will often just arrest a guy with tattoos. If he has tattoos like that he obviously did something. What exactly, we'll figure that out later. I imagine that's what's happening now in El Salvador.

These guys in this prison with life sentences dont work and are not allowed to work, they are just here to die, only the other prisioners outside this jail get to work

Yip, they brand themselves which makes it very easy for people to identify them, in the video they said they strip the new prisioners naked and examine and study their tatoos, not sure if you watched the video but the prisioners they interviewed confessed to killing over 50 people.
