El Salvador and Nayib Bukele Thread

To ne fair, Bukele did do a bunch of wild stuff that I'd be afraid of, were western politicians granted similar freedoms for their satanic purposes.

An example is that Bukele essentially changed the constitution so that he could be re-elected. Previously, re-election was not legal according to the Salvadorian constitution.

Another example is how essentially announced the state of emergency almost perpetually so that he could use the army to incarcerate all those thugs. A brilliant move, but it would get egregiously misused in the west, if that kind of a precedent were set.

Don't get me wrong, I'll always praise Bukele, I'm a huge fan of his moves and if the EU really were to be run by one single "dictator", I'd have no issue with him being at the helm. But that kind of power would lead to utter utter chaos if the likes of Scholz, Sanchez etc. had it. It would basically be like the pandemic on steroids.
In the west they decalred a state of emergency to sanction lockdowns

Bukele is starting to provide a path for rehabilitation to for some gangsters.

El Salvador has a chance at future. This is exactly what these criminals should be employed to do. Make them work for a living.

Does anyone know what does the government offer them in terms of faith and church? Is there an active Christian mission working in these prisons? The Antiochian Orthodox Church should be all over that place, bringing these men to Christ. This place should be of special concern to our Church. It's a great opportunity.

Exactly. And that's why I don't like the idea of giving western politicians the freedom to declare the state of emergency whenever they want. Just as an example, if the current German government could declare the state of emergency right now, they would in order to incarcerate or at least keep all conservative politicians and people locked down at home.

In addition, they would decree curfews for all men because they are the ones raping and killing.

Thus, as I said, I love the idea of those methods, however, they would be utterly abused and misused by most current western governments.

Its not only the west, here in South Africa they also declared a state of emergency, it seems like all democratic countries have this as a rule, its now global

We have offered the United States of America the opportunity to outsource part of its prison system.
We are willing to take in only convicted criminals (including convicted U.S. citizens) into our mega-prison (CECOT) in exchange for a fee. The fee would be relatively low for the U.S. but significant for us, making our entire prison system sustainable.

I don't really get the point of this prison. If they are never going to be released why not execute these people and save the taxpayer some money?
I think there would be too much uproar if he did mass executions. Also, I think this is actually greater deterrence, since any remaining people that think they want to be a gangster will see this prison and decide it's a bad idea. It's hard to say which would be worse, going to this prison, or being executed. Nobody wants to die, but life in that prison would be pretty bad.

I solidly believe the inmates deserve it. Gangsters like that are enemies of all society, and should be removed from society permanently.

I know a lot of people from Central America. All the Salvadorans I know enthusiastically support Bukele and these policies. All the others wish their countries' leadership were doing the same.

Yeah, I think largely the new world Spanish and mestizo order didn't do this like the Europeans did over generations. That will persist to a worse degree given the race differences, especially if you have periods of population boom.
