Have updated the progress bar to 100%, thanks everyone for so quickly helping cover all the site expenses
Regarding non-crypto means of payment, I'm happy to hear ideas in this thread or via DM of how to setup a means to do so in an anonymous fashion. My research into methods so far have mostly been dead-ends thanks to KYC laws in my country. Though I'll admit this isn't an urgent priority now that we've reached the donation target, it would be good to have for the future.
I haven't used that app before but make sure you're using the correct address for the given currency. For example BTC, XMR, etc. Also make sure you have adquately funded your account before you try to donate. If you still need help maybe Valentine or someone who has posted about it on this thread and has used it before can help. Thank you for your support.Am I too late to donate? I tried the cash app method, and it's telling me it couldn't "find any matches." I copied and pasted the stream of letters that was in the first post here.
Sorry I took so long, I'm young in person but a dinosaur with crypto.
Fantastic news, please make sure to add philanthropist tags to those whom donated.
Bitcoin donations are anonymous so there is no way to see who donated. Also:
Matthew 6:2):
“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.”
Matthew 6:3-4
“But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
I can remove the tag if you don't want it. I'd assume you donated something in the past?I am listed as a philanthropist, but unfortunately I am crypto illiterate, and have not donated anything.
I'm afraid I'm basking in stolen valor.![]()

Only available for Catholic membersFor example if you donate more than $200 your ban threshold gets moved up higher like you have to have 10 warning points instead of 5 before getting a one week ban
This is the stupidest post I've ever seen!I've long thought there should be some kind of 'snark allowance' especially in the Orthodox vs Protestant debate threads. I feel like every 10 or so good-faith posts should earn one freebie sarcastic jab or personal attack. Maybe we can monetize this.
Sort of like buying indulgences!Only available for Catholic members
Just an idea for the admins to consider but what about offering special privileges for those who donate a certain amount to encourage greater donations? For example if you donate more than $200 your ban threshold gets moved up higher like you have to have 10 warning points instead of 5 before getting a one week ban. Or if you donate more than $500 you can gain privileges to post in threads you normally can't (for example an agnostic or muslim being able to post in the Orthodox Christian religious threads), etc.

Yeah, people could start not technically breaking the rules, and then the Mods would have to not technically ban them. This is dangerous in so many ways.
