Donald Trump

I would rather live my life based on what my priest says than MSM pushing the possibility of alien life.

Which do you think is more comforting, especially considering that either way you will never know the true answer here?
The MSM is coordinated theatre/psyop and comfort isn’t a priority in my life. I’m much more interested in boiling things down to the truth and adversity makes you stronger.
Is that why you gravitate towards organized religion? Because it’s “comforting”?

There's no gravitation involved in my case. I was an atheist for years.

I chose to be a Christian on the same day I tried to kill myself.

I saw a miracle, and at that moment I realised I wanted to believe. I had never felt something so humbling, I had never felt so connected to my mortality before.

But more than that, I finally cared. I finally didn't just feel numb.

I realised then, that I didn't care about the fake and disgusting plastic world that atheists and so called 'scientists' had dreamt up, where everything was random and meaningless, and where Good and Evil didn't really exist.

I would choose to believe in God not because I could prove it, because I knew I could never prove anything beyond my own hands. I would choose to believe in God because a world with an all Loving God, created for a Grander Purpose, was so much brighter than a world that didn't really exist.

So I'll this question around on you. Is it comforting? To distrust those you don't personally know? Does it comfort you to only need to have trust in yourself?

Do you fear having faith in God? In his people? In his chosen? In his son?

Christianity= Truth

Did I say that's why I gravitate towards "organized religion"? (which FYI has no real meaning). Nice way to shift the frame based on your own insecurities with it. Don't put words in my mouth.

Father Seraphim Rose, who is now venerated as a Saint in the Georgian Orthodox Church, and beyond, had a lot to say about UFOs being demonic manifestations. Many other Saints have said the same thing, as well as well respected priests, bishops, and monks in Orthodoxy.

I just shared this book on the Orthodox recommended reading, could I paste your link on the book?

Why would they put this guy in at a last minute rally? How would this guy actually help more than hurt? There are so many idiots in politics. Who actually thinks this kind of early 2000s comedy is still funny? (I mean maybe funny to some, but at a political rally that's supposed to be pro-birth?)

The fact that he can say it and not worry about some kind of backlash is refreshing

True he can say it, but my mind backlashed it and I felt a little uneasy by it.
Having a comedian there saying this comes off as having a proxy for what Trump beleieves. Might not be the case, but optics is a thing.
Do you want the Hispanic vote or do you not want it? What about Catholic Hispanics? They won't like it. I wonder how many of these GOPers use the good, cheap labor on the side?

Most Latinos have no connection to Peurto Rico. Most have made up their mind to vote Democrat because of low IQ and group think.

You guys keep saying this but it's not what I've witnessed first hand. I've spent a lot of time in Texas and Arizona, other than recent immigrants with their hands out which admittedly is a large demographic, all the Latinos I knew were pretty hard core conservatives.

Maybe it's just a matter of the company you keep and I don't keep company with shit people, or at least try not to, but these were mainly just run of the mill Mexicans and they were all trump supporters. It was a wide range of them as well.

Texas and Arizona are conservative states.

The voting stats for latinos consistently favor Democrats. Including amongst catholic latinos.

This ain’t the take

You want to know why they put this guy in? The same reason why Trump is campaigning in New Mexico this week. And why Bezos and company are not only NOT endorsing a candidate, but have put out a decree to hire some conservative writers.

They’ve all seen the real deal polling and it’s over. It’s SOOO over.

These big newspapers know this and are more or less negotiating the terms of surrender. They know the jig is up and are rightfully scared that Trump isn’t playing around with the rhetoric this time.

For years and years and years, normal people in America have had to put up with the smug elites feeding them loads of crap, knowing they’re being fed loads of CRAP, and having to simply take it. You never heard Leftist commentators saying things like “we are BLOWING it by calling half of America Nazis!” or “Those 80 percent of people who DON’T want men in girls’ bathrooms…well…you know they vote too…”

This was Trump’s way of announcing that the shoe is going to be on the other foot. Leftists are going to have to listen to the loads of TRUTH they hate to hear (“Puerto Rico is a pile of trash” “Latinos have a ton of kids”) and are just going to have to take it. Their defeat is so set in stone at this point, there is no point in beating around the bush anymore.

This was Trump's turn to say "I don't care if some pearl clutchers change their votes or stay home. It's already over" and to rub it in THEIR face for a change.

It’s to the point where the election results are a foregone conclusion; the rally was the medium for dictating how things are gonna be, whether the Left is ready for it, likes it or not.

Get used to it

Yes sir, I believe we are seeing the start of the pendulum swinging back in the other direction.

Yes, what we will see this election cycle is that Trump has "peeled off" 10-15% from certain demographic groups that have traditionally been for Democrats. Those groups will still be majority Democrat voting blocs, but it will be much less than what they're used to.

I think we'll find out that the only groups that end up turning out for Kamala will be unmarried liberal white women, and black women. All other groups will be eroded to some degree.
