Yes, you said before that "I'm going to reiterate that many folks outside this echo chamber of this thread don't share the same doom and gloom sentiment" and I asked who these people were and you did not answer. I'll ask again, who are these people?
Anyone I talk to, whether political or not, agrees the USA is falling apart. It doesn't matter their race or background, I have not come into contact with anyone who thinks the country is getting better or going in the right direction. I'm not saying it is all Trump's fault, and neither are any of the people I talk to. They just see the insane amount of crime, the insane prices for everything, the hopelessness of no real jobs available, the Indians moving in and being their normal disgusting selves, and people see no future at all for this country. I talk to people of all ages, races, religions, and the consensus is that things are real bad and no one in DC has any plans to fix it, so voting no longer will change anything of importance.
Trump has the opportunity to change these attitudes, he has 3 years and 4 months to do it. I don't think that he will, but he does have plenty of time. But unless he does some huge things, way bigger than he has in the previous 4 years and 8 months, then I think the belief in America, voting, or even staying in this country if you can afford to get out, will all collapse for good.
So, who are these people you know that still think the USA has an optimistic future?
