I think the Greenland thing can be handled much better, Trump needs to calm down on this. I hate using the generational crap but I realize he panders to boomers with this act because some idiots think being "conservative" or calling themselves a "republican" somehow means you're automatically a "tough guy" (fake of course) but on this one especially I feel there is a much better and much easier path than the one he is taking.

You incentivize it for each citizen and ask for a vote, trust me you're not losing that vote. Then after that who can possibly run their mouth and argue if it's what the people themselves want?

Legally, the USA has the right to station as many US troops on Greenland as they want (according to the defense agreements with Denmark from the 1940s) so if all the citizens are US soldiers, it's not even illegal. Then call a referendum for Greenland to join the USA, where all new residents can vote as well (no voter ID required of course as in many leftist US states)....and mission accomplished !

You can keep a portion on US naval ships permanently anchored along the shore, another portion in the already existing US military base on Greenland (likely with emergency temporary barracks added on), and the rest perhaps in semi empty military installations elsewhere on the island or in airports/schools, etc.

Of course China opposes the U.S. conquest or purchase of Greenland. In other news, the sun rose in the east this morning. I don't think Trump will allow Canada to enter China's sphere of influence. What that looks like could range from a North American Union of the U.S./Mex/Can, extreme tariffs, or regime change in Canada with an administration that will follow D.C.'s lead (see Venezuela). The last few Canadian administrations have verged on communist. They certainly have destroyed individual liberty between the vax mandates, banking retaliation for the trucker protests, gun control, and mass migration. A German military reconnaissance team of 15 soldiers recently sent to Greenland are due to leave the Arctic island today for Copenhagen, a military spokesman told dpa on Sunday. The team had arrived on Friday as part of a Danish-led reconnaissance mission ahead of a planned military exercise.
