As descipicble as men like Graham are, at the end of the day there will always be unprincipled men who will play along to get along. They are only interested in power and staying "relevant," and these guys will always exist. They have always existed, and unfortunately they must be accommodated. There has never been a time period without opportunists.

We just have to accept the fact that there will be many who bend the knee to whatever is powerful, and seek to become the most powerful to make sure these types of people work for the good guys.

One of the most striking things about yesterday’s Zelensky press conference was Lindsey Graham’s reaction to it. The two are old friends, but Graham disavowed him within the hour. This was more than just transactional disloyalty. It was scapegoating. Lindsey Graham knows what’s coming. Over the past three years, with the tacit support of its western patrons, the Ukrainian government has committed a remarkable number of serious crimes. The Ukrainians sold huge quantities of American weapons on the international black market at twenty cents on the dollar. These weapons are now in the hands of armed groups around the world, including Hamas, the Mexican drug cartels and the forces now controlling Syria. God knows what the Ukrainians have done with the pathogens in American biolabs in their country. Even US intel agencies aren’t sure. The Ukrainians have also murdered a number of people in various countries in political assassinations, and tried to murder others, including American journalists and a European head of state. This is all true, and it’s all going to come out at some point. Better to start blaming it on Zelensky now.

Huge typo here, I meant 300M (million not billion), and, I read more on the bill, it's around 420M+.

According to Wiki ICE budget is 9 Billion: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Immigration_and_Customs_Enforcement

Apparently, a huge part of ICE's budget was being consumed by illegals coming over the border who needed medical care, clown world.

So, yeah, it might not be billions but it's still a 10% increase. Combined with zero border crossings, which normally sucks up tons of resources, there should be billions made available for deportations.

That said, if the government is shut down, I'm not sure if any of that funding will be available. This is probably why the Dems want to shut down the government, to protect their future voting base.

So it makes little sense to vote against this bill, the shutdown fight would be better in the Summer after ICE is funded for the rest of the year. Not sure what Rand Paul or Tom Massie are thinking, they seem to have poor strategy.
