The guy thinks reading the Bible is how you get transgender pastors. Reading the Bible is how you avoid becoming a transgender pastor.

He's essentially appealing to power.

I get the argument. Basically he is identifying a problem where every individual claims that whatever the Bible says it says something according to what lines up to that individual's particular wishes. But... appealing to power is really hoping for the same thing. And it's really terrible when the clerics he's appealing to are advocating for transgenders as well.

Harmony is the answer... but it's messy.

Reading The Bible, especially in the morning or late in the evening is still a holy experience depending on where you look at it. You believe that there is God, Jesus and the holy spirit are one and you recite a prayer after your done. Then it’s your job to implement its teachings in real life scenarios, you’ve won half the battle with this consistent mindset.

More race baiting. In Native American circles, you have decades of Marxist infiltration to craft the standard Marxist-victim narrative. "It was all paradise until the white man showed up and shoved Christianity down your throats." What the Marxists won't ever talk about are the Natives who willingly converted and embraced Christ with open arms, just as many of the Europeans did before them. They will always paint Christians as the victimizers.

Spot on.
Give your first gifts to God (praying and reading His word first thing when starting your day).
Your mind is clear and you are setting a solid platform for the day ahead.
I’ve tried reading scripture to close my day also, but my mind is just too abuzz with what’s gone on throughout the day and my aging body is just yearning to hit the pillow.

One of the greatest endings in movie history.

I had some difficulty with my faith the past few days. I just came back from taking my disabled cousin to Mexico, they recently changed some rules to where he can fly commercial now where before we were limited to private so myself being the unmarried with no kids fun cousin he has tasked me with taking him places, something which I am more than happy to do. He's a good kid he's smart and handsome his body has just completely failed him, on top of that his father is the best man I've ever known and anyone who knows him would say the same. His father is my uncle my father's brother also my godfather and he's been incredibly successful from shear hard work and intelligence while making sure everyone around him shared in his success, he would help anyone any way he could and even with his deteriorating health he still does everything he can for everyone he can. He is the last man on this earth who deserves to have his oldest son be highly disabled by a horrible incurable disease.

My cousins quality life is shockingly low yet he still has a smile on his face and wants to live life all he can. I found myself multiple times this weekend questioning why God would hurt good people while nasty people were parading all around us with no shame able bodied.

I know it's not that simple and this isn't a new great philosophical thought but it did get to me this past weekend, it was difficult to say the least.

For me, this is evidence of God's goodness. No matter how bad of a hand you were dealt, Jesus can still carry you through.

Ask both of them to pray for you (don't say why exactly... unless it seems like the right thing). But... in just what you've relayed here, they sound inspiring... maybe even uniquely inspired with the Holy Spirit in some way...

I love that, thank you for saying that brother that's beautiful and I needed it.

I was really angry this weekend, there were a lot of lovely people who went out of their way to make my cousin feel welcome but some not so much I almost beat an entire family tree of nasty coward Chinese tourists into a bloody pulp at one point. I did everything I could to show my cousin a good time but there were too many instances where just nothing could be done and it was difficult telling him that, I wasn't very happy with the world and having a hard time letting it go. He deserves so much more than I could ever give him.

Incredibly inspiring, both of them to a wide extent in many ways which I could never express fully thank you brother.

God sees what we cannot or don't want to. For you it was an unpleasant interaction that's now in the past. God has to put up with all those ugly people too around the clock, we haven't given Him a second of respite since the Fall. They're not just being nasty to you, and will have to answer for it, Jesus said: what you have done to the least of these, you have done to me. These are very profound words. I'm sorry God, I didn't know it was You.

The bad things that happen to good people- thanks to their godly disposition- can be turned into good Similar to the cross Jesus bore, it was a horrible punishment, but it's the best that's happened to humanity when all things are considered. Bad things afflicting nasty people more often than not only amplify the evil.

Father Ripperger said we should consider how many times a day all the seven billion people individually offend God every way they can- is God worse to us than we are to Him.

You come to understand what true wealth really is. Disease is evil that is easily visible, in a way we get to see the world through God's eyes.

Here's one of the teachings of Pope John Paul II on the subject:

Thank you for this brother I needed it, everyone has been asking me this week how the trip went and I've kinda just been avoiding giving any details because if I'm being honest it did not go well and I'm extremely disappointed I couldn't do more for my cousin, he deserved more.

John 14:12
King James Version
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

My Dad sent me this. I assumed it was about the Aztecs because I had sent him a meme about it (the one where the Spanish built a trebuchet that destroyed itself with it's own projectile), but looking it up the Tainós were a different group and I can't find any right wing sources on them.

My Dad is an English Conservative (so basically a communist), so I'd rather not cede ground on this because I basically all but stopped discussing politics as a result of arguments we had back when I was fan of Bernie Sanders in 2016 or so.
