I see your clarification. Agreed.I clarified but of course it was ignored by you because it didn’t fit your narrative.
In what world is shooting a person driving a 4000 lb machine running into you not self defense?
Hitting someone with your car is considered assault with a deadly weapon.
Either you've not watched the footage or this is just a really misinformed take.A car is a large lethal weapon that can be steered instantly and accelerate quickly. You can't wait for the tires to roll over your shoes to defend yourself, nor can you reliably jump out of the way because that is very risky. Please read the Bible before making these condescending ignorant takes.
As for the Pastor’s comments, it should be taken with a grain of salt and seen in its context, that the proper function of the government is to execute them, not some advocation of vigilantism.
This is your interpretation. Other traditions (like the Orthodox Christian view) believe all sins are equally sinful and all must be repented for. This is my problem with the sola scriptora take. The wages of sin are death. We all sin thus we all deserve death. That's why Jesus came and defeated death by rising up from the dead. I'm assuming you've heard of that.
Didn't Jesus say something about casting stones? Or was that someone else ... I can't remember I've never read the Bible according to you.
