One of the leftist talking points I'm seing is over Charlie Kirk saying that gun deaths are "worth it" for the right to self-defense, the right to possess a firearm. But this idea that you have to "purchase" the right to self-defense by "gun deaths" is a leftist false dichotomy and un-American. This country was founded on the idea that certain rights, including the right to self-defense via firearms, are God-given, not earned or purchased. The law has not changed on paper, but half the country no longer has the character to live up to the law.
In a leftist society, the dichotomy of gun ownership vs gun deaths becomes real. Since it is in the leftist's character to kill people by guns, the only way to prevent them from doing that is to take their guns away. What the leftist doesn't understand is that he improperly projects his murderous character onto all of the American society, and thus improperly projects his gun ownership/gun death dichotomy onto the rest of us. We should no longer make their mistake by improperly projecting our life-valuing character onto the leftist, and thus no longer recognize that they have a right to own firearms.
