Not much is known about the collision, Sal Mercogliano did a preliminary analysis. Key takeaways: it happened close to midnight local time in a crowded area of the Port Said anchorage, with the "Besiktas-M" leaving the area, while Truman and her escort, USS Dunham, were sailing toward the Suez Canal with their AIS transponders OFF. Apparently no one got hurt, but the exact details of the collision, and the extent of Truman's damage, are unknown at the moment.

Navy published first photo showing Truman's damage. Looks like they passed each other way too close, and scratched their starboard sides.
