Alternate History Debate Thread

Nixon understood the JQ, and a lot of other things we talk about. He could see what they were doing to him, but somehow he just couldn't see how to beat them.

There was a great scene in the Nixon movie from 1995 by Oliver Stone where he meets some Vietnam protesters at the Lincoln memorial. (An event that really happened in 1970 by the way)

In that scene one of the female protesters after arguing with him for a while about stopping the Vietnam war, actually comes to the very profound and scary realisation that Nixon (despite being president) has no real power against the deep state.

You can watch the short scene here:

That's a really good scene. Really illustrates the situation.

It's the same problem Trump had, except Nixon had reason to believe he understood how the system worked, and I think Trump was surprised at the way it stood against him. JFK certainly found out how much the system stands against the president.

They used to talk about the imperial presidency, and how the office of the President gradually gained more and more power over time. Nixon's administration was sometimes said to be the peak of the imperial presidency, but it's clear he wasn't able to control the government. I think LBJ really did control the government, but that's because he was a liberal, and the deep state was in sync with what he wanted to do, unlike JFK.

Supposedly the power of the imperial presidency was trimmed back in the 70s and beyond. By the time Trump got into office, he basically had no ability to control it at all. Even if he had tried to cross the Rubicon in 2020, the entire government would have rebelled against him, including the Republican party.

I don't see how he can make it any different this time, unfortunately. The most he can do is force the deep state to grant limited concessions and ease up a bit on the satanic globohomo agenda, for a little while.

JFK was murdered and that was the end of Presidential power in America. LBJ was the traitor who helped plan the murder and give away the power of the Presidency in exchange for his own power and money.

The government rebelled against Trump during his presidency and from 2020 to the current day. IMO, the best thing that Trump could do both for himself and the country if he wins the President seat, would be to say at his inaugural adress that that he is no longer going to be registered and part of the Republican Party /Uniparty but will become unaffiliated and serve the American people.

You can also see the original pattern of the modern political drama at this time. When they drafted the Civil Rights Act, Barry Goldwater voted against it, which was used to tar and feather him, and all Republicans by extension, as a "racist." Time has now demonstrated that few things were more detrimental to the black family than the Civil Rights Act. As always, the bills accomplish the exact opposite of what their names suggest.

Civil Rights Act = consignment of blacks into poverty and enslavement of blacks to the Democrat party.

Patriot Act = spying on Americans.

Affordable Care Act = unaffordable, socialist style health care.

War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. The ministry of truth is a ministry of lies.

It's proof that marketing (aka rhetoric) is more important than truth in a democracy.
